Hi, the park brake on the Taycan is separate. In fact, there are drums with an electro mechanical actuator for each side. See enclosed picture.
On my side, we sent a report to Porsche and made a download of There fault history showing no recorded fault.
I’m no longer convinced about any fault...
Hi Peter, can you send me some high resolution pictures, the one from the drive way?
On my side my dealer made a report to Porsche beginning of this week. We downloaded also the fault history, but no fault noted. Let’s see the outcome.
Cheers, Werner
Hi, the parking brake system used on Taycan is a simple drum on each rear axle (see attached print screen from the maintenance manual), so non braking force is applied to the front. The Panamera uses more or less the same parking brake system, but the difference is that the AWD/gearbox is...
I may try next Saturday at same place, weather forecast looks to be the same, maybe 1°C warmer.
Will buy 4 wheel chocks place them 10cm behind each wheel and see what happens + a GoPro next to aft wheel.
Hi Peter, can’t confirm that since I was behind the trunk. There were other cars on each side and a lot of people watching + trafic behind. But I’m almost sure the cars was not sliding, on my left was camper, heavy as well. Attached a picture of the place with the camper still in place. The...
Already reported to my Geneva Porsche dealer. They are warned of that major safety issue, and the ball is now on their side to act. The only thing I can say is to be very careful and probably put wheel chocks in place if parked on a slope. That's what I will do now. Was really really scary...
I have PSCB. But I don't think brake type make any difference.
Anyways, till there is any feedback from Porsche, I will avoid parking on inclines and buy a pair of chocks... seems silly for a car of that price!
I had the same very bad experience today. I already replied in another similar post here:

It was really scary. There were other cars...
Hi, Peter, I didn't read all comments yet in this topic. But I'm wondering if you had any feedbacks from your Porsche dealer, since I experienced this very scary occurrence as well today.
I guess we all are facing an extreme serious issue and if not already all Taycan owner must be urgently /...
Glad to here that yours is working as well.
On my side since my last post, connect was again U/S, but I’m very lucky and my dealer took immediate action. Troubleshooting revealed a faulty OTA, and was replaced the day after. Now the connection is working with more or less quick connection...
Yesterday, less than 1,5 days later, I got my car back from the dealer. That was quick one, and all my issues are solved. For the heating, it was an internal failure of HV heater (low voltage side), and for Connect, they had to reset/unlock the SIM card module (I guess it’s combined with the...

Hi, that’s true. Since last Saturday when I posted my request, no sign or any feedback from Connect, they are just not existing. The only one reacting very well is my dealer, and I must admit he is doing the upmost. He picked up my car yesterday morning and let me in his brand new Cayenne GTS...
I tried all possible settings, but at that stage no way to confirm whatsoever... the only thing I see is that remote AC in the car can’t be selected (not talking about Connect, which is at current time useless). When you read the different post, it looks as this is just the point of iceberg.
Hi everyone, this thread talks about similar issues I have with Connect and to be honest I have the feeling that all is software related, including my AC!

Hi, just having the same type of issues with Connect. I posted a treat today, slightly different, including the AC, with all the mess I believe Connect is inducing errors everywhere. Would not be a surprise if some super IT guru are playing with remote updates.
Can you please provide the...
Hi thanks for the info, really appreciated.
Should it be the case, I’m sure my dealer will give me his full support, and all new Porsches in Switzerland are covered by a mobility insurance, so that should be ok.
I’m more afraid to make any damage to the car, so will drive carefully the 50km...
Hi, that's interesting! Let's hope, it's not related and I can make it to the dealer tomorrow. Will, in any case, avoid highways and take a thermos of warm coffee with me ;)
Could it be related to a software issue deactivating the AC? As you can see in the picture with the pedestal, the remote...
Hi thanks, yes that's what I already did, and slove before all types of phantom messages.
My dealer is already waiting for me tomorrow. Keep you all posted about the outcome.
Hi, thanks fo
Hi, thanks for your feedback. Mine was working well since delivery, I have now 8000km / 3Mo. Except, various minor bugs, all more or less solved by rebooting the car, so with that, I can live, nothing dramatic.
I tried to get in touch with the Connect support service, but as...
