  1. AC Performs Poorly in Hot Weather

@Goldbros, my 2021 4s built in late 2020 was diagnosed with same AC pressure sensor issue *twice* within a week. First, PT1 sensor failed and then a week later PT3 failed. Does your AC continue to function fine after the fix ? I’m wondering if this is really the issue. I sure hope the new...
  2. Porsche Connect module

Just an update. The dealership resolved the LTE/missing account issue by performing the increasingly common ”terminal 30” reset. I now have another, mostly annoying, issue for which I can‘t find a solution in this forum. After I re-added my account back, the “automatic login” button cannot be...
  3. Porsche Connect module

Very similar issue. After April backend update, I suddenly lost LTE connectivity. I figured this was because I could never get idiotic PCM to reprompt me for my password after update no matter what I did including rebooting the PCM. I knew dealership would have no clue so I called 800...
  4. The Dreaded Electrical Fault Error, pull over and park

Take your car to the dealer and demand an explanation why the recall update did not fix the issue. If they do not provide a satisfactory answer, file a case on the NHTSA website and explain you’ve already had the AMB5 update that supposedly fixed issue. As you said, this is a very serious...
  5. Let us know how your recall update (Powertrain Shutdown / Loss of Power) went

@legataycan , have you heard anything back from Porsche on your post AMB5 power loss issue ? 2 weeks should be more than enough time to analyze this and at least determine if it was the same issue AMB5 was meant to address.
  6. Let us know how your recall update (Powertrain Shutdown / Loss of Power) went

@legataycan , my guess is there is significant angst/panic happening in Porsche HQ trying to figure out what to do with the AMB5 update. If this fix is indeed incomplete, every day they wait means another dealership update for all of us who have already had AMB5 applied. The fact they have not...
  7. Let us know how your recall update (Powertrain Shutdown / Loss of Power) went

Your car was functioning fine after power cycling off/on exactly like the problem AMB5 was meant to address, correct ? If so, that’s sounds much more like a spurious software issue rather than a hardware problem.
  8. Let us know how your recall update (Powertrain Shutdown / Loss of Power) went

If this incident was in the US, please tell them to immediately report this information to NHTSA.
  9. Just got my recall letter....

This is puzzling on a few fronts. This update should be the same AMB5 update they are required to put on new Taycans before they leave the lot. Ask your dealer what they are doing for those cars and why the same update cannot be applied to your car. My Bay Area dealership allowed me to schedule...
  10. NHTSA investigating Taycan power loss issue

I found this site to report serious car safety defects in the UK to the DVSA https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-recalls-and-faults/report-a-serious-safety-defect
  11. NHTSA investigating Taycan power loss issue

Yes, I think the suspicion is that the big WMA5/6 update introduced this bug based on the recency of all the NHTSA power fail cases. My only concern with this new “fix” is what you’re saying: perhaps they’ve introduced yet another bug with this recent fix. Maybe that’s why Porsche is waiting...
  12. NHTSA investigating Taycan power loss issue

Please report this failure to NHTSA. Then, demand your dealer investigate/apply the potential fix below if they try to suggest they’ve never heard of this problem. I called my service advisor to try and preemptively apply this patch. He initially agreed as he was well aware of the issue and...
  13. NHTSA investigating Taycan power loss issue

The second time it happened was upon startup also ? If so, it might be a different issue. Not good obviously, but much better upon startup than while driving.
  14. NHTSA investigating Taycan power loss issue

Please update your NHTSA case with the information that Porsche essentially offered you a bribe to erase your service records and cover up this potentially life threatening flaw. That needs to be on the record too.
  15. I lost all power in the outside lane

With WMA6 update for MY21, at least the user visible PCM version was bumped to 3397. I was hoping something equivalent would be done here.
  16. I lost all power in the outside lane

Can you please confirm if the new patch that was installed updated a user visible version number we can see from the PCM ? Otherwise, there is no way to version control what software is actually installed in your car which is a disaster for many reasons.
  17. I lost all power in the outside lane

Yes, let’s also see the software version on the car when it is returned and push all our dealers for the same fix. If this really is a known issue that Porsche “forgot” to include in this latest update, they’re even more incompetent from the software side than I imagined. Think of all the...
  18. I lost all power in the outside lane

I completely concur. Given Porsche’s apparent reluctance to act, the most effective strategy IMO is to diligently report every one of these incidents to your country’s agency in charge highway safety and follow up with them ! The more reports on this issue, the more pressure will be on Porsche...
  19. I lost all power in the outside lane

@Lauryen828 I would not accept “it should be a one time thing” as a diagnosis. Your dealer needs to provide a clear diagnosis of the issue and explanation why it won’t happen again as getting stranded on a freeway is a life threatening problem. Also, please report this problem on the nhtsa.gov...
  20. Electrical fault - Juddering to sudden stop.

@Stealthtaycan , I posted this earlier regarding how to raise this issue with the UK government agency responsible for car safety. The more complaints that are posted against the Taycan for this issue, the faster they’ll hopefully act. This issue, while much less frequent than the battery...
