I wouldn’t hesitate to take the Porsche. They’re fantastic long-distance vehicles. We’ve taken ours to Italy and to Spain, and with a bit of planning have managed Ionity for almost all charging which, with the Porsche card, is cheap and fast. Then just topped up with some slower charging at...
Thanks for offering to re-instate it. I find it helpful to be able to see the mileage and consumption of my most recent trip when I open the app on my watch. To be honest, I prefer that to seeing the odometer reading.
Great - thanks.
This app is great. Just one thing - since the most recent update the trip information doesn’t appear on my watch (it is on my phone). Is there anything I should be doing to get it to re-appear?
Having recently swapped to an Apple Watch I’ve just downloaded and tried this app. It’s brilliant! Thank you so much for all your work in setting it up and for all the updating to ensure it does what people have asked for.
There is an option to do this. If you go into ‘settings’ on the PCM you will find one that will offer the option of opening either just the driver’s door or all four. I can’t remember exactly how you find the option, but you should be able to find it in the ‘manual’ on the app.
I’ve used a Hapro 560l box on a 4S - all worked well. It’s my understanding that the 75kg limit includes the bars and box - so, realistically, the limit for stuff in the box is probably around 45kg.
Provided you have ACC you should see Innodrve as a FOD. And you’d also normally see Comfort Access too unless your car already has it. Hope that helps.
Agree with others about the number of chargers now available in France, although Ionity Champfleury can get very busy so may be worth looking for other options (e.g. Baralle then Troyes). Also, if you’re on Octopus for home it is worth getting their Electroverse card/app - a number of stations...
Yes - I’ve used the connectors from Toughleads, and they are excellent. We’ve just returned from a trip to Italy. While in Italy I used the Porsche Connect charger connected using the Italian Toughleads adapter and ELCB - all worked a treat.
Just completed the first 1200 miles of a trip from UK to Italy with a 560l roof box on a 4S. Temperatures are currently high here, but running at a consistent 110 km/h I’ve got a consumption of 3.1mls per kWh - so I reckon the impact at that speed is around 10-15%.
Just wanted to reinforce this point. We’re currently on a convoluted route to Italy via Provence. Ionity chargers have by and large been very good (occasional one not working), but yesterday all four failed at one Aire. I’d forgotten the advice above to pull the plug up, especially with...
Yes - a number of us have had this. Oddly, if you change the units to kWh/100ml it works fine! Did raise it with my dealership but they weren’t able to find a solution.
