Long Recovery from 12V Flat Battery

Not really the point of the post but no, there is no bonnet light on when the bonnet is just left unlocked!

Long Recovery from 12V Flat Battery

I had a planned business trip that required the car (Taycan Turbo MY21) to be garaged for 8 weeks. I phoned my OPC to seek advice to avoid flat batteries and was told by the Taycan Specialist Mechanic that there was no need for a maintenance charger on the 12V battery and that I should leave the...

Bizarre 'whistleblower' claims “60% of all delivered Taycan have battery issues that caused replacements, damages and fires”

At 400V the current delivery will be DOUBLE and not half! Power=Voltage x Current (? just saying!)

London Roads Width Restriction - Rims Damage

Well done! But I trust you get the point of the original post that the width of the Taycan is bigger that these restrictions at some places!

Bizarre 'whistleblower' claims “60% of all delivered Taycan have battery issues that caused replacements, damages and fires”

As I said in a previous response the article is clearly biased and contains a lot of inaccuracies that will please Tesla funboys! Personally I do not give a shit about Tesla or any other brand (including Porsche) whether it is Cars, football Teams or clothes. I just pay my money to obtain goods...

Bizarre 'whistleblower' claims “60% of all delivered Taycan have battery issues that caused replacements, damages and fires”

I am not intending to justify a clearly biased article here BUT you need to note that a motor capable of operating at 500Kw (depending on model of course) even at 800V it will be pulling around 650A (That is a lot of current). It is certainly Half of what an equivalent 400V car would pull (like...

Winter Storage and the 12V Battery. Trickle charger necessary?

Interesting that the Text in the phot under the heading "Information" no longer appears in the good to know App. In fact there is a Porsche "Advanced Technical Information" (Bulletin #:2003) that recommends not using trickle chargers but leaving the car plugged in for charging the main battery!!!

    Matte/stealth PPF anyone?

The white looks fantastic in stealth PPF! The Dolomite silver is good too but I personally prefer the clear version! That’s what u see in the photo!

London Roads Width Restriction - Rims Damage

7’ restrictions are just about manageable! 6’6” ones block a number of family saloons and unreasonable! Especially when there is no prior warning and part of a one way system which make a driver commit an offence if they want to spare their wheels!!!

London Roads Width Restriction - Rims Damage

Basically London’s Boroughs are run by a bunch of cunts who go to bed at night with nothing else on their minds but how to fuck up hard working people’s lives so that they feel a bit better about themselves because all they ever did in their lives was to get a job at the council and live a...

What service should I expect at posh wash park lane? Do they do express repairs?

London Roads Width Restriction - Rims Damage

No chance you can go through! The kerb is narrower than the barrier and they seem to add these concrete teardrop shaped boulders that overhang the kerb! It’s shockingly bad and the c@&ts at the council have no f&£@inv clue!!!

London Roads Width Restriction - Rims Damage

Road narrowing schemes in London seem to multiply to either make way for cycle lanes or prevent lorries driving through posh neighbourhoods! The favoured width of these is 6’6” which seems to match the Taycan’s width perfectly minus an inch or two! Net effect after two such unfortunate...

    My impressions after a week…and some tips'n'tricks?

I know what u mean about the armrest! I am surprised nobody else has mentioned it to date! It’s completely useless and whoever designed it should be sent back to school! Mine is a right hand drive and have it in mind to check next time I am at OPC to check if I had a left hand drive cars...

Brand New Taycan... but can't connect to PCM, Anybody else had this?

Had the same issues on my Turbo. Took delivery last Friday. My account details were passed to the OPC and they set it up. Privacy mode was disabled but still couldn't Connect. I took it back today for them to investigate. They fixed it just by logging out of my account in the car and logging...
