Thanks!!
Yes, they were white originally. They cost $1K to be painted. The place that did the tint, wrap, and coating was East Side Auto Salon in Bellevue. They're great to work with. The folks who painted the calipers was down the street from them (they work together).
I finally picked up my Taycan today! Here are some initial shots. I'll take some more photos/videos in the coming weeks.
In addition to having it wrapped and coated, I also had the calipers painted. They didn't come out exactly the way I expected, they're growing on me. I'm curious to hear...
Oh interesting. Was this a feature you had to add when you built the car, or is it an add-on/subscription option? I wanted to add it to my '21 Taycan (when I ordered in Nov '20), but I could not find the option.
I also have it on my BMW but have never successfully been able to use it. I had...
I also wish I could have seen it in person, but I decided to take the plunge.
When mine arrives (it's so close!) and I get it ceramic coated, I plan to take plenty of photos/videos, which I'll post here.
I'll also try to be as descriptive about the color as possible.
I think mine is on the NYK Line Capricornus Leader. But the Porsche site doesn't make it clear. And now the route is all screwy; it shows a beeline from Zuffenhausen to Port of Hueneme.
So it's basically useless!
Howdy! My Taycan left the Port of Emden on 1/27. It's currently at the Port of Hueneme (near Los Angeles).
The final destination is Seattle, WA.
Right after it passed through the Panama Canal, the Track Your Dream site pushed back the ETA by 20 days! However, the ship has been making steady...
Nice choice! I ordered mine in Cherry too (ETA: Feb/March)! It was really tough to find good photos/videos. Every time I see one, it looks different than the others! Good to know that the configurator isn't that far off.
Did you post photos of yours anywhere? I'd love to see it!
