Autogefuehl reviews 2021 Turbo S in winter

I'd say you're on the right track (npi), with no leather being included on options that don't explicitly say so, with your Racetex interior. Looks like a nice config you've set up. I do enjoy using my HUD too much to omit it. Although, as expected, some of the users here don't prefer it. I would...

My Taycan 4s is now bulletproof

I believe the preferred wheel setup for the ambush-proof ride would be "cartel-grade run-flats". You're not going to stop and casually mount your spare tire when you're being ruthlessly pursued by vehicles spraying gunfire. Due credit: the quote is straight out of William Gibson's Blue Ant book...

Pictures of Taycan leather samples in light colours

Animal-free is a must-have for me, consistent with my vegetarian lifestyle, but not too many color choices offered in Racetex. I settled on Black over Slate Grey for my order, without having had an opportunity to see any Taycan Racetex interiors IRL (the showroom models were all in leather)...

*SOLVED* - locking your doors WIHTOUT keyfob - using your hand...

Yes. I like your description with "rest". I've found that a prolonged gentle touch with minimal pressure is most effective.

    Dashboard cover

I love my HUD! Use it all the time. Since you seem to prefer the look of the dash with the HUD shroud, you should opt for it. I agree that the HUD version of the dash looks great.

Stone guard for the rear doors anyone?

Good choice. I also got the full wrap with Xpel Ultimate PPF. In my case, it was to protect from sandblasting conditions affecting exposed surfaces from any direction, here in the US Desert Southwest. I'm sure you get some of that in the regions where you drive. The installer recommended...

PPF details & Washing after Ceramic Xpel Fusion

Here's the technique and product I use. Very easy and beautiful results with the full PPF/ceramic surfaces on my Frozen Blue Metallic Taycan Turbo with gloss black trim. Gentle, rinseless hand wash in garage, one bucket, one gallon distilled water in bucket, another gallon mixed as detail spray...

Let me see them- frivolous option(s)

Same here, except with silver badging and added "electric" side badges. Gloss black exterior trim and window surrounds. I might switch to gloss black badges someday, but I like the less-contrasting silver for now. Trivialities, is that a real thing? I loaded my Fro-Zen Blue Turbo with pretty...

    Aussies and the Panoramic Roof

Reporting from this high desert region, where the sun's radiation is very intense nearly every day, but the air is very dry and thin. The car is always comfortable even without activating my seat ventilation. The sun pretty much never bothers me visually, except when driving directly toward a...

    break in

I just want the beacon shut off when I'm hand-washing the car, so that I don't inadvertently activate the Comfort Access functions and get the oft-repeated key presence acknowledgement chirp-and-blinks. But, as noted above, you can deactivate the key's beacon signal by long-pressing the lock and...

    break in

I purchased this set of two Faraday pouches for keeping the keys isolated. They're nicely designed, but I haven't needed to use them yet. You can also turn off the key's presence indicating beacon by pressing and holding both the lock and unlock buttons until the Porsche crest flashes. The...

    How are the wipers?

There is a tiny lever on the face of the stalk with which you can adjust the sensitivity. Although I haven't had too many chances to test them, the few times I used the wipers in interval mode they were very easy to use effectively.

Am i the only with a crap PCM and electronics all around?

None of this observed with my Feb 2021 build. Nor any of the other malfunctions or production quality issues mentioned on this forum. Gratefully among the silently un-plagued majority of Taycan owners. I agree that you should pursue remedial action.

Got my car - now more questions !

Ditto on negotiating for the all-weather rubber mats to be included gratis. Got the Porsche frunk and trunk liners, too. They all really do look fine and function flawlessly. On my 2005 Mini Cooper S I use WeatherTech mats, and after 17 years hard use, the floors look like new. So, in general...

Windshield wipers in service position (vertical)

Ah, so in some regions other than US (lovely Scotland, for instance), you would have to leave the door closed. So, I guess in those regions, if you open the door you don't even have standby power to run the wiper motor?

Windshield wipers in service position (vertical)

It works with the door open, too. Make sure the hood is NOT raised when you do this. To raise the wipers into the service position: With the system in the operational state, hold power button to shut the system down. Within a few seconds of shutdown, push and hold the wiper stalk down for about...

Vossen HF5 wheels on Turbo Taycan

I like, but the color is not for me. What offset are you using? Where did you purchase these?

PPF over existing small patch on rear doors?

My shop here in NM insisted on removing them as they will yellow My installer also said they could put it back on top of the PPF, but recommended leaving it off. Under the 330 annual days of intense high-desert sunlight here in NM, that OEM rear-quarter "rock guard" piece will just yellow...

    FBM Taycan photoshopped pic

I get the same impression about the configurator's representation of FBM. It's interesting for me to see how they changed it since I configured mine about a year ago. Back then, the configurator made it look much darker than the actual color, with a sort of smoky cast. I haven't looked at the...
