Agreed - I had the same issue where the car was borderline dangerous in that the brakes would lose nearly all bite unless you stomped on them at low speed. No consistency as you gradually slow down. Bleeding the brakes solved the issue.
Same here - since the update, I've had the PCM shut down on me about half a dozen times when driving. It usually then reboots itself after between one and three minutes. Never happened pre-update.
You know what, I was one of those absolute sceptics replying to the old post on this. However after two years, my 2020 decided to throw up the red ring of death electrical failure last week. No fire, but it triggered the fuse on my EVSE which is on a separate circuit to the house. Flat bed...
It's probably due to the short journeys. If you only drive 15-30 miles at a time you get the downside efficiency of the car getting the cabin up to temp, the battery warming up etc, without benefitting from the upside once that's all been completed. If you drive longer trips with the average...
Been doing this for about two years now and no discernible issues with the battery yet! Nothing like the self-satisfied feeling you get after a good day’s solar charging.
209 is about right for this weather. I'm currently getting 200-210 miles over longer journeys (50 miles plus) in real terms (i.e. ignoring the PCM range estimate and going off battery % per miles driven). I have managed to eek out around 230 miles in the cold when I've had to by ensuring I'm...
Yup, and given that the last time they did a software update of this nature, cars (including mine) just started switching off in the middle of the highway, I think they are going to be cautious before rolling out an update to existing cars. Hope they do it eventually, but as much as I like...
Agree with all of that. Just FYI when I first got the car, in the Winter months I was having to punch the front windscreen de-mist quite regularly in the middle of driving - more so than any other car I have driven. However, now, during the Winter I make sure that all vents are pointed towards...
So from my experience in UK temperatures with the car in the garage, any preheating of the battery is just a side effect of charging - i.e. preheat only works (timer or no timer) if you are actually charging. The battery heats up a little more with the timer since it is also working to heat the...
I think Range mode is a complete ruse. It just stops you accelerating like a rocket and restricts maximum speed to 85mph (90mph if you're using the Sat Nav). If you drive the car in normal in the same way - i.e no rapid acceleration manoeuvres and keeping speed below 90mph, the consumption is...
Yeah, the timer functions on the car are totally unintuitive. So, if you want it to pre-heat in the morning but not charge the battery, set the battery target on the timer to less than the actual charge in the battery, and set a profile as well that means that the car won't charge to more than...
Also getting massive hits to range at the moment, but really depends on battery temp. PB+. Outward journey of 60 miles recently after heating the battery to 24C used up 26% of the battery. Coming back the next day, the battery was only at 14C, and the return leg (in otherwise similar...
One thing I've noticed having recently taken a number of trips where I drive one way, park for an hour then drive back the same way is that if you switch the car off for that hour, it seems to reset everything, so you're back to super high consumption for the first part of the return leg, even...
I had the same problem, but last week eventually managed to get it to work.. Try this - logon to Apple Music, then actually start playing a playlist or track. While it is playing, then try logging on to Podcasts using the QR code. You then can start playing something on Podcasts, and when you...
