The only thing I want from the 2025 - is the new PCM SW stack. I love my car- hate the PCM- its the buggiest sw I have ever had in a car- worse than the first gen I-drive in BMW's.... of course I am assuming the new pcm sw is better ....
Given the issues I have seen on the Taycan - I would wait a couple of years at least for the Macan to 'sort' the teething issues/problems it will inevitably experience as a year 1 product...
Having it done today as part of the 20k service.... I have the same issue as you with doing the two finger salute every three days or more to reset the PCM - usually either the spinning wheel or apple music/podcasts are greyed out.... I'll post if WPN9 addresses the issue- will give it a week or...
In Pleasanton Costco is building a new warehouse- in plugshare it shows that the new costco will have 6 DC fast charge (at this point CCS) Chargers... I did a quick google lookup and could not see any mention of Costco starting its own EV charge network - though it would make sense given what...
I don't think its needed on a PHEV personally... the batteries are usually pretty small so charging at home does not take that much time and if my wife is any indication - she'll drive on the gas engine until she can charge at home... I think 'out of spec' just did a review on the GLE 450e - he...
My wife decided on a 2024 Volvo xc60 recharge... ~41 miles on electric range- She just put in gas after two months of ownership- she really only uses electric unless driving long distances. The car will still have full AWD even with battery depletion. She loves it... she was moving from a lexus...
Have not put on a front plate in years - have not had a ticket in CA- but if I do get one- this is what I am going to buy... love the fact that you can 'show it' then remove it...
Well that sucks (moving to phillipines)... EA support once you got a hold of them... was not bad e.g. they tried to solve the issue... I have not charged at an EA station in a while - how has the phillipines support staff been working so far?
It has happened to me as well the engineering reboot has worked for me so far... seems like the OP has tried this a few times - strange that it has not worked but given the PCM sw quality.... not suprised that it has not worked - probably best to bring it into the shop. RANT- why in gods name...
CarPlay and Wireless CarPlay will convert down to 16bit / 44.1-48kHz which is the lowest tier of lossless support and sends the signal to the head unit as:
- Wired CarPlay sends 16b / 44.1-48 LPCM
- Wireless CarPlay transcodes and sends 16b / 44.1-48 as compressed AAC-LC
Wireless carplay uses...
Your not being a jerk... should have stated that I have traveled all over Cali- have not been stranded by EA... but have had to many times move my car to another station, not been able to initiate a charge (even though the station was 'available') and pulled up to an EA station only to find half...
Happy you have had these experiences with EA- I think your sample size at this point (20) is small- let see how you feel over a larger time period... or you can take a look at plugshare - EA sites usually have some comments indicating less than optimal experiences....
Just downloaded the Tesla app- looks like besides Scott Valley there are 8 stalls in Placerville that are capable of supporting non tesla cars... and fortunately for me I do have the 150kW/400 option (though it was a lucky mistake I had planned to not order it but had checked it on the...
