  1. In home Grizzl-E Level 2 charger?

I installed a Grizzl-E charger in my garage and keep the PMCC in the car with some adaptors for road trips. The Grizzl-E is simple, built like a tank and just works. I’m very happy with it.
  2. Plug and charge stopped working

Have tried at 4 or 5 different EA stations in Washington and Oregon - all gave the same “Payment declined” message when I had Plug & Charge activated in the car. I have come to realize that, as a Canadian Taycan owner, I do not get 3 years free charging at EA stations in the US but I at least...
  3. Plug and charge stopped working

Thanks. Fortunately I have been able to register with EA and use the app so I am still able to charge in the US OK - just need to pay for it..!!
  4. Plug and charge stopped working

A (somewhat) related question regarding Plug & Charge. Has anyone successfully “Plugged & Charged” outside of their home country? My Canadian Taycan cannot Plug and Charge when travelling in the US - I get the same “Payment Declined” message as in the previous posts and have to disable P&C...
  5. Maximizing Charging Speed at Fast Chargers

I am currently on a road trip from Vancouver, BC to Portland, OR. Earlier this evening I arrived at a 350 kW EA station at 9% SoC and 34 C battery with Plug & charge disabled (doesn’t seem to work for a Canadian car in the US..!). Charged to 71% in 15 mins with peak charging rate of 252kW (on...
  6. Tire pressure / winter tires / tire noise

The tyre pressures for the various iterations, wheel sizes and types of tyres (summer, all-season & winter) is given in the owners manual/"good to know" under Technical Data. Here is an extract of the page for my car (4S with three seats in the back and 20" snow tyres). Recommended pressures...
  7. Tire pressure / winter tires / tire noise

I have just fitted the same size P-Zero Winter tires but with the ELECT designation and find them to be very quiet. I think they are foam filled. As for pressure, I am running 2.8 bar front and 2,6 bar rear which is per the manual I believe.
  8. Plug and Charge for Canadian Taycan Owners at Electrify America Stations

Thanks for your replies. I will try disabling plug and charge on my next trip and maybe also try the Zip Code trick. However, shouldn’t plug and charge work though even if it is not free (in the US)? After all there is a credit card connected to your Porsche account for this very purpose.
  9. Plug and Charge for Canadian Taycan Owners at Electrify America Stations

Have any Canadian owners successfully plug & charged their Taycans at Electrify America stations while travelling in the US? Mine always comes up as “Payment Declined” even though the account it is set up correctly and has worked fine in Canada. I cannot manually start a charge since Electrify...
  10. Electrify Canada

...what's more I just found out that you can't sign up as a member with Electrify America and use their App for charging with a Canadian credit card.....!!
  11. Electrify Canada

Anything further on this…? I just found this out the hard way on my first US road trip. I called Porsche who either didn’t understand or were not aware that the Connect/Charging NA apps would not work (or rather would not display stations) outside the country of “ownership”. They have opened...
  12. EA Stations Not Showing in the Connect App or Charging NA App

Canadian Taycan (MY 2021) owner here, currently on a road trip in the US. The car can find and navigate to EA stations here in the USA but the Connect App and the Charging NA App do not display any local charging stations. Both apps still display the EA stations in Canada but nothing south of...

  14. Taycan Secret Tips and Functions

Strange… I have have a 2021 Canadian market 4S (Vancouver also) but it did not come with the inflator & repair kit. Which dealership..?
  15. Grizzl E charger got stuck

Thanks for your feedback too. Will have a look at the rubber ring but everything seems fine now so will probably leave well alone...!
  16. Grizzl E charger got stuck

I have also installed a Grizzl-E for my 4S and the first time I used it, it also got stuck…! I ended up using a screwdriver to lift the latching mechanism in the handle to disengage it from the charge port on the car. After that I have had no more issues releasing it from either charge port...
  17. Plug and Charge

I recently picked up my 4S and went for a short trip today to test the DC charging and Plug & Charge at the Electrify Canada station in Squamish, BC. Pulled in with the battery at 47% SoC and 31 degrees and left 23 mins later at 93%. Charging began at around 165kW and tapered off to around...
  18. Taycan roof rack and accessories

As an keen cyclist I was about to order the techquipment roof rack and bike carrier for my recently delivered 4S. Before doing so I thought I would check if the Yakima roof rack that I have for my old 911 (997.1) would fit. Well it does..! Need to use the M8 x 45mm attachment bolts (instead...
  19. Downloading Adaptive Cruise Control via Porsche Connect?

You cannot simply download ACC. There are hardware components required in addition to software and so ACC needs to be included in the original build of the car. You can however "upgrade" AAC to Porsche's Innodrive system via an over-the-air.
  20. Porsche Taycan Configurator Online. Share Your Build!

Thanks... Due to the recent reduction in the cost of the performance battery plus I was able to squeeze in the full performance package which costs less than the individual sum of the options options here in North America.
