Will be interesting to see if the GTS trim makes a reappearance coincident with a GT reveal. Pure speculation, but perhaps the reason for holding that back was to launch the “performance-oriented” variants in parallel.
I think the bright sunlight may be distorting the colors in that pic. Here’s a GT4 RS in my local dealership wearing Meissen. Looks quite nice/distinct and very different from outdoor pic above.
Allocations went live the day of the refresh reveal, though they seem to be limited. New models supposed to go into production April/May for June/July delivery, but I’m sure timelines will slip.
You purchased an incredibly expensive, rapidly depreciating asset that is built around a technology currently on a Moores Law-like innovation curve. I’m genuinely curious what you were expecting to happen. You still drive one of the best cars in the world. It’s all good.
My lease is up in April and I had a deposit down on a refreshed GTS, which unfortunately is yet to exist. I just swapped it this morning to grab my dealer's 4S allocation. Pricing and performance for a well spec'd '25 4S is essentially on par with a '24 GTS (at least as I had built).
So the...
Anyone have a guess (based on prior/other model mid-cycle refreshes), whether all trims available simultaneously or if staggered like a new launch? Am assuming the latter, but not sure how they typically handle, particularly when we know there’s at least one new/top-end variant being added to...
What's interesting from the official release is the last line which says, "The extensively revised Taycan will be presented in a few days." The article from just last week (arctic circle one) referenced a launch in a "few months". I guess revealing and launching are two different things, but...
I don't believe anyone has disputed that the article itself is about what the headline of the article says it's going to be about. I'm not smart enough to know whether it's real or render, but that is certainly not a current Taycan
Actually it's entirely reliant on inductive charging. I believe that by 2027 there should be a 4 mile stretch of roadway in Sweden that we can all drive our new Taycans on. Should be fun.
My experience is that app seems like it needs a lot of work. The charging options are accessed via the plug icon in the top left under your username.
My problem is that I use the pre-heat function regularly and can see where to turn it on/off in the new app, but can't seem to figure out how...
The insulated glass will interfere with transponders though you can place in the dedicated non-insulted space near the rearview mirror. I passed on the insulated glass specifically due to concerns about this, though my issue was more about radar detector functionality. FWIW, the cabin with the...
Looks great, but agree I would go GTS at that price. I would also personally swap out the $9K splurge on carbon ceramics given you'll use the rotors <10% of the time for actual braking, and would add PDCC, RAS and PTV+. The impact of those systems on performance (not just on the track, but for...
Agree on RAS, but even more critical IMO is PDCC. It is a very heavy car as we know and it's near miraculous how effectively PDCC hides it. Adds enormously to the overall agility. Personally, I would lose the ACC/ALK and tick the Performance Package.
