Hello world,
As some of you might remember my car died at 700 miles and was bought back by Porsche.
Looking for a new car (again) and I'm trying to figure out if the issues with Taycan have been fixed.
I can't say based on the posts in this forum what is really going on. Any chance that '22...
Google the name of the Porsche USA CEO and SVP of support. Send email.
They will hold your car for 30 days and then issue refund (assuming you are in CA and lemon law applies). Very sorry to hear about this.
My wish list:
1. Fix 12 V issue
2. Fix main battery dying issue
3. Fix "Car stops itself on the freeway" issue
The rest is irrelevant. I was hoping to order a '22 but the issues are still not fixed.
I had the same issue, and did a buyback. Conntact then now and at day31 you will get an email saying they will buy back the car. Porsche really messed up here.
Correct 100% agreed.
I told the Porsche team that they released beta product which is fine if you have non beta support. What I would expect is that within days they would give us a new car. The bullshit from the dealer was stunning and lack of response from Porsche also.
D
Quick update from my end.
I got a message from Porsche they will let me know within 15 days what is going on. This rather upset me (car is now 20+ days at the dealer). I emailed the CEO and SVP of support at Porsche NA. Got a quick response from SVP that I'm now in good hands and gave me name of...
I'm going the lemon path, my won't be ready until end of March at the earliest. Porsche can't maintain this car. I'll buy another one in a year or two once its actually a usable product.
Ok so real time update.
An incredibly polite guy from Porsche called me, got the dealer on the call (seems like they had issues getting service advisor from dealer on the phone). Dealer repeated the "battery wont be here at least until end of March" so now they will escalate further up the chain...
So far Porsche has not come back to me. Car has been at the dealer more then 2 weeks.
1800 Porsche calls have not resulted in anything. Will likely turn over to legal tomorrow afternoon.
Well at this point in time i would not recommend 2020 to anybody. My car is in service for 12V and will not be done for 2+ months. The car rattles and software is horrible.
I can live with all of that though. What is really upsetting me is the fact that Porsche cant not service these cars.
