I don't think so, you can see it in residuals that Porsche themself set for Taycan. They likely know they have battery issues which will devalue cars significantly. Most EV's residuals are very low and they tank on used car market, guess why? It ain't electric motors...
Porsche just has no clue about software or updates. Totally pathetic showing. That's one of the reason I sold my 4S. Well, that and I was lucky to sell it for more than I paid for it on the peak of Covid used car craziness.
Well, in my case Taycan is the worst car I ever had, and I had some really POS cars. In first 18 months of ownership it spent 10% of that time in the shop. Its currently on its second week in the shop for recalls and updates...
Did you get the wheel locks key with your Taycan? I just found out I did not so I have to go to dealer to get the key to fix a leaking tire. Who sells the car without supplying a key!?
So here is a data point for you. My Tesla Tap also quit working, didn't want to charge, red light on charging port. I took car for updates, this is 2020 model, they had to replace PCM as well as result of the updates. Now Tesla Tap works. I charged it only once but nothing changed on my charging...
Its possible, I would not be surprised. My car, 2020, was in for an update on 4/12. Service guy would not provide me updates until I found the service manager and then I find that PCM was bricked and new one ordered from Germany. Expect at least 2 more weeks with car in shop, but I think I will...
Interestingly enough, my Taycan stopped charging using Tesla generation 3 wall charger and a Tesla Tap Mini. It just errors out with red. Restarting Tesla charger and other stuff did not help. It can't charge at all. It charged without problems for about 2 months and then it just quit.
This is...
I have dash-cam on mine plugged into 12V socket, I checked after 30 minutes and its turned off. I will direct-wire it anyway since I don't like it being on for 30 minutes. No point to it.
