Fixed it. Went outside and did a few launch controls and whipped it around. Noise gone. I’m guessing the rocks are going through the air tunnel in front on driver’s side.
Starting getting a weird clicking sound when the car is piping heat out of the driver’s wheel well. Sounds like the fan when cooling batteries. Anyone else run into this issue? Taking it to dealer this week to have it checked.
Wanted to hang the bumper on my wall as a reminder of my stupidity of trying to drive in the snow in Seattle. Wife veto'ed plan and I never ended up taking the parts back.
If it makes you feel better OP my first true luxury car was my 911 and I crashed it 5 months into ownership. 13k in fixes. I still have it to this day and not a single problem. Find an authorized Porsche repair shop. It makes all the difference. See images of the journey. Hang in there. It’s...
Agree with XPEL > STEK. STEK peels much easier. Although the ceramic built in is nice. Water beads right off. XPEL does have a thicker feel even though I got 8mm for both.
Dark cars I'd highly recommend going full PPF. Looking at ~6-7K for full usually. 2500ish for full front, rockers, and door edges.
Here's what I paid for all my cars:
BMW M340i - full front. grey. xpel. $1900
Volvo XC90 - full front. grey. xpel. $1300 (haggled real good)
AM DB11 - full front...
Didn't understand the 60-70 vs. 80-90mph as a primary rationale to sell. I am cruising easily 85 on average most of the time and my range is still ~201 miles @ 85% SOC. Proof attached. Plus I never use more than 100 miles typically on even the heaviest days. Shrug, to each their own.
Interesting. Taycan is by far the most futurist interior I've sat in. Def going to check out the iX then in person - seems like a good experience either way.
Is the interior nicer than the Taycan? Feel and materials wise? From pics it doesn't look that way. Very curious. On the market for replacing the fam's Cayenne Turbo SE eventually.
This is a dealer installed thing. Depending on your area, this is common practice for high crime areas. My winter car is a M340i and bought from Beaverton OR. Dealers down there install Starguard since they have high instances of auto theft. They will charge extra for it and it's annoying. You...
do quick night time drives. I go almost nightly and listen to music and podcasts after the kids go down to sleep. Find it relaxing with lack of traffic.
Ahh makes sense. Similar boat here.
My wife’s backup car ended up being a Cayenne Turbo S E Hybrid. Depending on how much you drive the new 17.9kWh battery gets 30 miles-ish of EV range. She absolutely loves it. Gets what she needs done with that range 90% of the time. Car sips gas otherwise...
