I don’t know if it’s “advertising” per se; for the past several weeks my PCM has been popping up messages like “Connect multiple Bluetooth devices”, “Using handwriting input for text”, “Using voice input for text”, etc. After I dismissed the most recent one I got another pop up asking “Would...
Looks great! Are you considering supporting other home chargers in the future? (I know ChargePoint logs activity on their Flex home chargers - but don’t know if they expose the info in a web service that third party apps can access…)
I think the "comfort access" configuration now has specific options for unlocking the doors only on the side that the driver is approaching, or all doors, or just the driver's door.
True - but I’m pretty sure the app is made to work with all the current Porsche models, not just Taycan. (The old app worked with the 718 Boxster I had before getting the Taycan)
And it looks like the back-end issues are solved - the new 6.0 app is working now.
The iOS App Store lists a new update of the “My Porsche” app (v6.0) this afternoon. Best to wait before updating - I grabbed it and it seems that the back-end systems aren’t updated for it yet. (I keep getting “Something went wrong: Function is currently not available.” messages from it.)...
Got a notice of a new “Porsche Drivers Council” survey today - this one is about charging. I used the opportunity to tell my unhappiness about 1) The insufficient buildout/expansion of the EA charger network, 2) the high proportion of out-of-service chargers I see at EA stations that I’ve used...
I got my car back after the uPdate on Thursday… and went on a 900mi road trip over the next two days. No issues with Plug and Charge, but did need to press the “Continue” button on the EA screen for charging to start. No problem ending the charge using either the “Stop” button on the EA unit...
It was replaced a new view in the main display. Don’t know how to direct you to it because I haven’t gotten the update done yet. Others on the site have posted pictures of it.
They didn’t, but Porsche’s response to the NHTSA was that PCM would get a full update *that would require a new owner’s manual to be given to the customer*. A simple fix for screen blanking wouldn’t have required that. And forum members in the US who have already gotten the ANA6 repair have...
Interesting. My car (2021 4S) pops up a panel (that covers much of the screen) asking if I want to activate the opener when I get close to the stored location. And the ParkAssist/backup camera display covers that HomeLink panel so I can’t close the garage door after backing out unless I...
Is that HomeLink button in the lower right of the screen (above the “…” button) always present? That would let me free up a diamond button for a different purpose…
Update/Correction: Before they can apply the PCM update, they first have to update the PIWIS tester itself. End result is the same - they’re going to call me when they have everything prepared and can do the ANA6 update.
.
And …. No ANA6 for me today. :( Apparently the dealership haven’t been able to get the update downloaded to their PIWIS laptop yet. They’re letting me have the car back this evening and asked me to check back next Monday on getting ANA6 done.
I had already made an appointment with my dealer to have the ANA5 recall work done today, so they’re going to also handle the ANA6 “repair” while it’s in. They advised me that the car probably won’t be ready until tomorrow due to the time needed to go through the 23 page (!!) procedure to load...
Nope, you’ll get full performance at EA chargers without needing the 150kW/400V option. IF Tesla follows through on refitting Superchargers in the US with CCS connectors and allowing other EVs to use them, the 150kW/400V option would be useful.
