    CT creaking and cracking sounds

From Day 1, on rough roads, rumble strips etc, the same area (light controls / rearview mirror ) has made a rattle-y, loose bits type noise. Dealer says they took it apart and re-assembled - it is less strident, but still annoying. Since this is only my first Porsche (despite it being a very...

Funny little things that drive me crazy | diva safe zone

Well, I have four wheel steering but the backup/"360" parking cameras are such rubbish and once there is any actual object in the cameras view, the images are distorted to such a degree that it really a major pain seeing your way into a narrow garage from a narrow street - especially on dark...

Electric Steering Wheel Adjustment Taycan GTS

My 2021 CT4S had the electric adjustor spec'ed, however, was delivered without and was told it would be retrofitted. After just under a year, they said impossible to retrofit due to continued semiconductor/parts shortages and they paid my ¥160,000 for my grief. At that time FX would make that...

Funny little things that drive me crazy | diva safe zone

Good suggestions, particularly on Night Vision Assist notifications showing up on HUD. With regard to the parking cameras, it is shocking how useless they are in a real narrow world situation. 360 degree view security cameras are able to “Un-distort” their images, I can’t understand why our...

    RIP Porsche Connect App

I had an episode of 12V battery failure and associated joy, and thought that my Connect App (iOS) being dead (shows a blank white screen only) might be related to my 12V battery coma…. Is the Connect app discontinued? Okay, I see from other comments, we are all moving to My Porsche app because…...

Interior rattle (right rear passenger area)

My vehicle has an annoying an persistent rattle that seems to be coming from the interior mirror module or the roof… It only happens on bumpy roads or rumble strips which are pretty common; dealer did something with the mirror module but still persists. ANy thoughts would be welcome.

Taycan Electric Sport Sound, does it really affect range?

If you play Wagner loudly on the audio system it offsets any loss. Beethoven also works, Mozart less so.

    Taycan 12v battery issue

Well, I wish I had known this info (assuming it is correct for my MY2021 4S CT.). I had the most recent SW update in July (or August?). However after not driving the car for three weeks (and after just two days selling my other car - a totally reliable MB E-Class All-Terrain) I found my Taycan...

Does anyone actually use launch control?

Good question, but I thought if You were in Sport / Sport + mode you could call on the extra power in overtaking situations, but that could be wishful thinking on my part. Completely unessential feature, IMHO.

Recall & "other fixes" in Japan

I received a notification from my dealer via postal mail informing me that it has been determined that a fix/ update must be made to my MY 21 CT4S for the power control system, (or something to that effect, my Japanese is not perfect....) The mail indicated that the fix could be performed in a...

First real OTA update for the Taycan 2020 and 2021 happening April 27th…

Difficult to make something funny about something that might be very frustrating - (I personally expect my $200k car to not frustrate me repeatedly) and not to be seen as making light of someone's pain. Having said that, I do wish they tried!

Taycans affected by WME3 will NOT be retrofitted with an electronic steering column adjustment

Two weeks ago my dealer said they still didn’t know when they could install the electric adjuster. Here in Japan customer service is typically great, and so if this is indeed a global position that Porsche is taking, I’m very interested in hearing what the compensation will be. Kindly share...

    Members Say Hello Here!

A belated hello and thanks to all for the interesting and helpful things I have learned here. My Crayon 4S CT arrived on schedule more or less at the end of September. Apparently I got the first CT in my prefecture - and possibly the first in Japan. A few things were impacted by the current...

8 Hours at PEC Atlanta Experience - A Review

Thanks for the link. Well, for once, things are not more expensive just because we are in Japan. Pricing seems the same, although there are a few less options.

8 Hours at PEC Atlanta Experience - A Review

Very interesting, informative - and amusing! Thanks. Interesting how you found the 718 and 911 different. The PEC here in Japan is slated to open in October, but the dealer (4S CT scheduled for delivery by end September) has me slated for some sort PEC intro session on a Taycan in a few...

    Noise insulated glass option?

Here in Japan for my MY 21 4S CT (scheduled for delivery in September), the noise insulating glass was NOT available as an option. The dealer and I went over the options list several times, right up to the deadline for the June build - but not there. He opined that it might be standard for Japan...

What level are you? Post your garage charging plans or what you've done

Choices in Japan are more constrained, so I'm getting 200V 50amp circuit installed. In theory, this will be (partially) fed by solar panel array which dump (some of) their power into two Tesla Powerwall battery units, so at least a fraction of the power will be very green and free if I blithely...

Meandering thoughts about my first weekend with the car

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, not much meandering! Three months more waiting before I can pen my version.

Porsche Please Listen the Customers and change……

Thought this might be interesting food for thought, 'though a bit dated: Per a nifty newsletter from Frederic Filloux sent out last August, in June 2020 (or was it 2019?) "Volkswagen Group’s CEO Herbert Diess (...) the following during a management meeting: “It will be years before we have...
