I use ALK quite a bit. Surprised actually. It's not terribly invasive and I've not experienced the bouncing off the lane edge.
I rarely use Innodrive even on longer trips. Only if I want true hands free driving. I have noticed the false braking on Innodrive and it's also not helpful when...
At this point, I'd be willing to spend double just to get a set of winter tires that actually fit the car. I've never had such a hard time sourcing such a basic product! Looking forward to any progress you can make!
FYI, I just brought my car in for service to diagnose and fix the interior wind buffeting noise and they told me that I had to remove the lowering links and wheel spacers to rule out the impact they were having on the car. They also blamed the many collision sensor activations I've been seeing...
Unfortunately there are no rubber stoppers. It’s all hydraulic and I’m hoping there’s a way to adjust it. I’ve never gotten a “hatch open” warning and the seams all line up good, so it must be a very subtle leak.
It's maddening. It's way more subtle than the buffeting that normally occurs from open windows. But it's there. Windows closed. And yes, worse (or more obvious) with seat down.
So I put the passenger side rear seat down today (I was transporting lumber) and wow the buffeting got way worse! Sometimes, it's so bad I feel like I need to pop my eardrums due to pressure equalization. This could be a deal-breaker for me and this car :swear:
Yes, it's not that bad, you just need the right tools. The back is a bit more challenging than the front. And ideally you can get the car in the air on a lift.
This was helpful:
I too was thinking about the aero strips at the hatch but I don't think we'd hear that exterior turbulence from inside. Also, they shouldn't be creating turbulence. I'm wondering if it's a faulty seal at the rear glass or the pano roof.
It's remarkable how exaggerated every little sound is...
