Bought the Tesla Level 3 universal last year. Got my check to day for $588 reimbursement! Thanks Porsche! Not worried about the Tesla format (plug) in future as I will be keeping my Taycan for a few more years, or get an adapter.
Wonder how NEO is able to replace a battery pack in 15 minutes? Someone needs to learn a lesson here. As to the evse supply cable, my letter said go out and buy one for $600 or less and send us the bill. Did that, now waiting on a check in the mail lol.
Mine (Tampa)told me to bring in the evse as all they needed to do was put a warning label on it (base unit which they cannot downgrade to 20 amps with software). Be nice to be offered a $750 credit like @enzo5000 mentioned, as I already have a Tesla Gen 3.
OK, I surrender lol! I can see why I am wrong about regen in the Taycan. I was under the wrong impression of its function, and since it apparently serves no real purpose that will best the system design, will leave it off.
Thanks for all the corrections guys!
No, I did not know that, but since with it "on" it is very hard to tell it IS on, (I often have to check that the icon is lit up) . Porsche thinks it s/b set low, but many of us think we should have an option to increase it. Maybe they can start a subscription to that too? $$$$
And some do not...
I always click it on as soon as I start the car, but if you think I cannot tell the difference, go drive a tesla and you will understand. The regen or recoup in a Taycan cannot compare in that regard.
OK, to clarify, I once owned a Chevy Volt, so I know what real regen is like...no brake pedal needed most times. My Taycan felt just like that for several miles of city driving, then went back to yes, it's on, but you can hardly feel it.
but unfortunately, it only lasted for a few miles and then went back to the normal (MEANING NOT SO GREAT) regen I am used to. Anyone else had this happen? Sure wish they could have made it permanent! LOL, maybe the brake fluid finally trickled down to all the nooks and crannies?
I will ask again, if you have the EMEI for your vehicle, why can't you just add a second line to your cell phone provider using that EMEI for the car? It will surely be less than Porsches fee.
So why could we not just use the EMEI for the car to switch service to our own carrier. Wouldn't it keep that connection open for updates, etc? I am assuming, maybe incorrectly, that is what we are actually paying for. Be nice to know as I still have a year to go lol.
Not sure where I got my...
I get just over 300 miles on a full charge on the guess-o-meter, but the actual mileage as measured by the odometer is less. I have my 2 year service appt coming up in a couple of weeks to have the brakes flushed etc, so I will have them check if one or the other is not functioning correctly. I...
No pre conditioning, just plug her in using General @85%. Not complaining, just curious if I am an outlier or if this is normal. Just does not seem efficient to me.
I have been watching the difference between the Porsche guess-o-meter and the cars odometer. PB+
Just did a charge today to my usual 85%, giving me 281 miles on the guess-o-meter. Odometer shows I actually drove 130 miles since last charge, but per the guess-o-meter, I used 206 miles. All city...
