If you have the luxury of multiple insurers. Come renewal Admiral was more or less the only viable option for me and telling them I had PVTS took £500 off the premium.
When was the last time you changed the fob battery? I was told the battery need to be changed around 6-7 months. Low battery can give off false alerts. To be fair I've found this generation of PVTS much better than the previous one that used the flat fob.
Both East London and Hatfield have both said they are only expecting 1 each. Presume the dealer is insisting on the Weissach package given it's low numbers?
We had a storm in the UK a couple of weeks ago. Looks a piece of foil backed insulation foam flying through the air did the damage. Car only has PPF to the front end. Bit annoyed I didn't do the whole car as it could've saved needing a repray on those parts.
Possibly only introduced starting from MY21 cars. Picture posted is from yours truly. MY22 car with Surround view optioned not the more expensive Remote park assist which gives the IMO less useful '3D' view.
Also with Admiral and renewed in December. £3000 back then. Just done a new quote and came back at £2100. Apart from being charged 2 months worth of premiums were there any other penalties?
Would definately say it's a additional layer of security. Always had a call whenever I've left it behind. To be fair it's been pretty good. Got a call when it was being transported to the detailers. FOB was in the glove box. Key was with the driver of the transporter. Flagged on their system as...
Most likely because the Macan one is rubbish. Currently have both in the household. Only real complaint about the Taycan one is when the battery is low you get false alarms. With the Macan by the time they call you the car could be on the Eurostar to Europe. A little annoying as the Macan is...
Quite a few faraday pouches fail after a while. Unfortunately you get a false sense of security. Some people at first may check but after that never check they are actually doing the job you originally bought them for. I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of people out there have even ever...
I have the same Thinkware U1000 with iVolt backup battery wired into the 12V in the boot with no isssues. You can set the iVolt to draw at either 7A or 5A. If you're frequently driving the car I imagine the ivolt will be at full charge most of the times when you turn the car off.
Ask your dealer if they have a preferred partner detalier as using inhouse isn't the only option at some dealers. At the time when I bought my car Hatfield were forwarding cars to Azuri Car care and East London were sending their cars the Topaz. Both highly thought of. Both will collect from the...
Here in the UK you have 2 seperate options. Ambient lighting and LED projector door light (Porsche letters projected on the floor. If you tick the door light option it will automatically add the ambient lighting. If you only tick the ambient light option you can add the LED projector at a later...
My personal take.
Had Ghost in both my Mrs and my previous cars. Currently have it on the Mrs car not on my Taycan. Installer done a few pre update. Didn't recommend it at the time. Dash sometimes would light up like a xmas tree. Took out Ghost everything back to normal. Not sure if anything...
Firstly you might want to hide your address.
Turn off all profiles and timers on your car and plug directly into the Easee. Does it charge as normal?
With the car I don't use any profiles only the timer. Have you tried using only that? Have you checked the car has received the instruction if...
I agree. A while ago the car was charged to 100% the night before. I hadn't driven the car for a few days. Washed the car which usually takes between 1-2 hours and towards the end got a low 12v warning on the dash and to plug in the car. The car was open but not 'On'. This has only happened post...
Pretty sure the Easee schedule works on when the charger is On or Off. Better to set the a timer on the car alone. What I would do is set Timer only to battery percentage to what I required (e.g. 85%) to depart at 7am. The two small issues doing this way. Firstly you may require a larger...
On my CT you don't need to do the Hokey Cokey under the boot. Sensor for boot release is towards the lower left of the number plate where the diffuser is. Never fails to open if I either touch it or hold my foot/leg very close for a few seconds. Can be a bit of pain being there as sometimes the...
Moved from Admiral to Churchill in December for £1800. Admiral premium was originally £2200 but wanted £3800 to renew.
