@DerekS Since your little flap seems to be intact, do you think the piece of plastic that prevented charing came from the previous person who tried that dock?
What do you think of Tyre review data? (Link below). I think as far as internet data goes, this channel provides as objective as possible data. I never even knew the OE spec of the same brand tyre of the same size were different until I saw this video. So I'm pretty happy with my NF0 spec...
1) Delivery Soh - unknown
2) Current SoH - 87.6%
3) Current mileage - 22500 mi
4) kWh DC charging - about 1500 kWh with the battery preservation option turned on halfway through ownership
5) Build date -late 2020
I think what RWD blending strategy expressed in this chart would be something like this red curve. In other words, you'd have to brake with less input to recoup the same amount of kinetic energy. It'll be interesting to draw this chart whether the car is in 1st or 2nd gear. I suspect there...
I'm curious how you calculated the $4k opportunity cost and whether you've factored in the absurd inflation. :D
My insurance is $1500/yr. Northern California.
Zero electricity cost (EA, free charge at work) @ 20 kWh/100km
Maintenance: only one brake fluid change $300
Tires sound about right
I'll add to the thread with my data points. This is after 18k miles of daily med-hard driving, biweekly mountain runs in Northern California (Highway 9). The inside is consistently wearing faster than outside just like everyone else. I measured the treads remaining for your reference.
I...
and if I remember correctly, you did NOT opt to do a re-alignment when you switched to the Michelin PS4S, right? I think I'm gonna do the same as well. The relative high camber seems to be intentional and common amongst our Taycans. As long as the wear is similar on L/R sides I suppose it's fine.
Your math looks right if it's a single DC motor. But it's AC and 3 phases x Front/Rear, so... actual instantaneous current will be more complicated depending on how they quoted the 560kW output number.
this article (great read) also quotes some peak current numbers for the front and rear...
This independent test by Tire Reviews on Youtube also gives a different perspective. Instead of EV tires vs normal tires, he compares ECO tires vs its mainstream tire (same marketing name).
