  1. Tag Heuer Connected Porsche Watch

I'm a long-time Garmin wearer, and my previous Garmin Marq Athlete finally gave in to the battery gremlins after years of constant use. I decided to buy the TH Connected as a change because I wanted something a bit "smarter" that I could use for my running commute to work AND keep it on in the...
  2. Can't afford a Porsche watch so created this Garmin Watch Face

"can't afford a Porsche watch" - spent too much on options, eh?
  3. Taycan Electric Sport Sound, does it really affect range?

The sound is so cool that it makes me drive the car more, so definitely affects the range.
  4. Red leather seat wear / discolour / something

I'm following the recommendation from this post so I hope so!
  5. Red leather seat wear / discolour / something

I hope you're right, although they got steam cleaned at Porsche and no difference... I've ordered some leather cleaner so will give it a go.
  6. Red leather seat wear / discolour / something

Hello folks, I've had my Taycan about a year now, but even after a couple of months my drivers seat started to show the diagnonal lines where the red is lighter compared to the rest of the seat as per the photo below (look carefully next to my mark-up pen). At first I thought it was a result of...
  7. Should Cyclist's help the economy and pay road tax and have insurance

If you run for Prime Minister I'll vote for you. I cycle and run more than I drive [in my Taycan]. Some cyclists are idiots, but then so are some drivers. The point is, which you sort of said, is that there is a person driving or cycling. Being in command of a given vehicle type does not set...
  8. Taycan and road bicycles transport options

Is it an accident that your bike matches the car? ;-)
  9. Taycan and road bicycles transport options

Two Komodos would certainly be excessive, but they’d sure look great! As for range, I’m no aerodynamics expert but I can’t imagine that racing bikes are going to make a dangerous dent on range. If you are planning on making trips where the range is touch and go without a bike then maybe think...
  10. Taycan and road bicycles transport options

I use it regularly and I absolutely love it. The Komodo fits nicely in the frunk which I otherwise don’t use, and takes only a minute to install or remove. The finish and build quality are amazing. Battery life? Can’t say I’ve noticed any impact, but where I live battery is not a concern as my...
  11. Taycan and road bicycles transport options

I went with the Seasucker Komodo. Looks great, works very well and no bike disassembly required.
  12. PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) on Taycan (base model)

Hi, after ~7 months of ownership I have zero regrets. Drives like a beauty on the springs in my opinion. I think the standard for the base model Taycan is the springs, at least it is for the Hong Kong market - so best check on your configurator.
  13. Lowering RWD Taycan

    Sure, here you go.
  14. Lowering RWD Taycan

Also FWIW, after replying to this post I went out and took a look at my car to ask myself "does it really need to be lowered?". I looked at it and thought "meh - it looks pretty low already". Of course everyone's personal taste is different. @sabeast - if you don't have your car yet, wait until...
  15. Lowering RWD Taycan

I have a RWD with the steel springs. I have scraped the bottom on some steep ramps in multi-storey carparks near where I live. Just something to consider, as I have learned that there's no way I can lower the springs unless I want damage.
  16. *SOLVED* - locking your doors WIHTOUT keyfob - using your hand...

I just put and hold my thumb over the little groove for a second or two (in a horizontal position, covering as much of the groove as possible)... works pretty much every time for me. So maybe try that?
  17. Felicity Ace ship on fire in the Atlantic carrying Porsches

So sorry for all those waiting on their cars. My 9 month wait was agonising enough and I got a car at the end of it! At least all crew were rescued safely. Let's hope some useful salvage or at least recycling can be done, and minimal environmental impact. Whilst the insurers will be giving...
  18. CarPlay box / AI box recommendation

If anyone just wants wireless Carplay, and nothing else, I think the recommendation above might be overkill. I recommend the Carlinkit 3.0 just for this purpose. See my other post here for a review if interested (I have no affiliation). Although I think you can get wireless Carplay out of the...
  19. Dual SIM and PCM

I have a dual SIM mobile that connects to PCM, however it isn't the SIM that connects to the PCM - it's the phone, via Bluetooth. I'm not sure how it works on not IOS devices, but on my iPhone I can select which SIM is primary/secondary and used for calls and/or data. When connecting to the PCM...
  20. Taycan headlights wanna be? What is it?!

Must have been one heck of a snowstorm. Can't see a thing.
