Hi , single female Taycan owner here . I picked up my new MY 2022 Taycan Turbo In March .
I absolutely love it . Paid for it 100% from my own efforts and it makes me feel like all the hard work was worth it every time I drive it.
There is no other car to touch it IMO.
Hi , picking up my new Taycan turbo later this week from Porsche retail group Uk Reading (PRG. )
I have been offered Swissvax for £599 with a free annual reapplication and detailing for two further years.
PRG are saying it makes a noticeable difference and is way better than ceramic coating...
I tried Porsche finance but they won’t do it for me because the ltd company is new - not enough track record .
Offered to give a personal guarantee . Made no difference. Computer still said no.
HI Folks,
My Taycan Turbo is due to start production shortly and I am looking for a business PCP.
Can anyone suggest a UK lender who will offer a buisness PCP ?
Had anyone else done it this way and who was that with and at what interest rate ?
Thanks in advance
Hi , this sounds like a great adventure , I look forward to hearing more . Can I just ask , i assume your don’t carry a Tesler tap , but would that have allowed you to charge via the Tesler superchargers ?
thank you for taking the time to give the history - that is really useful to know . When your 22kw charger failed , did your car default to 11kw charging ? Were your other charging capabilities unaffected ?
Tigerbalm , Was your first 22kw charger on the original build or retrofitted ?
does anyone know of the 22kw chargers are reliable ? Anyone else had any problems with theirs ?
22KW on board chargers are few and far between on built cars having only been available from MY21 .
I heard a retrofit for this option was coming but dealers seem to know nothing about it .
Does anyone know if this is possible and when/ if it is to be made available as a retrofit ?
Oh wow ! That’s incredible information , thank you so much . My accountant couldn’t find that and even HMRC help line said a pre registered demo didn’t qualify.
I will follow this up. Thanks again for the information. This forum is an incredible resource.
Thank you to everyone for contributing...
Hi , no I don’t have long commute as I work from home and drive out to see customers but nothing usually more than 35- 50 miles each way , plus I have a 22k charger at home .
my concerns about the small battery are will it be difficult to sell on - don’t want to get stuck with an undesirable...
Yes , pano roof , 4 +1 rear seats , Bose , rear camera
The build code is PMZHKZX8
I didn’t think it was possible to get a discount on these cars in the uk or anywhere else where the waiting list is so long ?
Yes your are correct that the published range difference is 30miles .
However when I tried the base Taycan I found it slow to pick up speed from 50mph +
is that more to do with the drive train/RWD than characteristics and performance of the smaller battery ?
Thanks for all your replies. It really helps.
I can’t go for a demonstrator as my company has to be the first registered keeper for 100% capital allowance and 2% benefit in kind . That’s why I have been searching for an unregistered car.
the rest of the spec is
Volcano grey
Crayon leather...
Thank you , I knew that launch control was still available without sports chrono although the dealer said it wasn’t possible !
Less power , range and resale desirability on the smaller battery are more concerning .
