I had a 4S with Mission-E wheels and now have a GTS with Aero wheels. I miss my Mission-E's for the look, but the ride is way comfy with the Aero setup. I also haven't had any flats yet with my Aero's. I had flats all the time with my Mission-E's - replaced 5 tires in 2 years (hitting the...
I feel as though driving an electric car is a bit like driving your iPhone, so I'm not surprised that my Taycan would depreciate faster than her gas siblings. I don't know if that's also the case for EVs by other manufactures but I wouldn't be surprised either. Maybe someone can research if...
I spoke to my dealer today and he told me that Porsche just sent them a "Squeak and Rattle Kit" last week. It's supposedly full of shims and foam and other stuff that they can use to do what we've basically been doing as described here on this thread. He said that Porsche is aware of the...
Wait a sec… how long did it take you to receive a new door panel? I’ve been waiting over five months! They’ve given me a bunch of excuses which I‘ve been eating up since this is my first import, and compound that with all the other supply-chain problems going on in the world.
Did they swap...
Looks like Porsche may have finally fixed this! The Porsche Conect app was updated to version 5.1 two weeks ago. I just got around to turning this option/feature on and it looks like it stuck - no app errors! If there are more problems I'll let you know. Meantime, great news.
It's quite simple really. Tesla has much (much) better technology and auto-driving experience. Porsche has a much (much) better build and a better self-driving experience.
My Tesla was more fun for the geeky side of me. My Porsche is more fun for the driving enthusiast side of me.
I do...
I can confirm that the foam fix works too. Instead of waiting two months for new door panels I picked up my car at the other day and cut two pieces of high density foam Out of some packing material I had lying around. I shoved two pieces into the door towards the bottom right corner of the...
That's cray cray because that's exactly what I asked them if they could do. lol. They told me "no", "needs new door panels". ETA is one month. They said the senior regional Taycan tech guy is gonna be there next week (supposedly he travels around like the Fuller Brush Man) and I'm gonna show...
This is disappointing to say the least. I've literally had this car for three weeks and for the last week it's been in the shop. I've never owned a car that already had this many issues so quickly after driving it off the lot (noise, PCM problems, app issues, list goes on). This is my first...
Can anyone else confirm if this feature does in fact work for you?
Do you also get the 239_GR_pc error when trying to turn on Intelligent preheat/precool using the Connect app? Or are you able to turn on this feature in the app without any issue?
Driving me bonkers. Thank you!
Two weeks after I drove off with my new Taycan 4S I began hearing the same rattling noise described here. The service manager at my dealership told me he's seen this before in other Taycans. He says the rattle is due to how Porsche assembled the door panels, using something that sounds an...
Ditto everything. I had a Tesla Model X for five years. I enjoyed watching the car receive feature update after update through the vehicle’s life. While the Taycan is clearly a better driving experience, it’s technology legs behind Tesla’s considerably. Mostly, I hate nanny-mode which restrict...
This worked almost perfectly. Once I was able to change the source to XM with this trick I had to click onto a different screen to trigger a terms of service "accept" button. Once I did that, XM worked perfectly. Thank you!
I can't enable "Intelligent preheat/precool" from the Porsche Connect iPhone app. When I slide the switch on, I get a red banner at the top of the Connect app that reads:
Unable to adopt your settings. Please try again later. (error: 239_GR_pc)
The error message pops up almost...
