  1. Taycan Tuning in Southern California

I'm about 3 months away from out-of-warranty.. so this is tempting. But so is the refreshed Turbo S or rumored GT.
  2. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

CasiOaks are definitely my favorite beaters. Esp when I don't think I should be wearing my real APs.
  3. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

Yeah, unfortunately my collection isn't seeing much light of day these days because of all the random robberies. Have actually sold of a few pieces as I'm not one to have safe/garage queens.
  4. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

Latest two from earlier in the week.. was not expecting to be called for one, let alone TWO. All four have been in the last nine months.
  5. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

Amazing condition bezel! Original? Or service?
  6. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

I mean, to be honest.. can you every really stop at 3? At least if you're a 'collector'...
  7. I'm the idiot whose Taycan was towed after running the SOC to 0%

Your next goal should be to do the same trip in Range at 80mph, to just provide a data point comparison.
  8. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

Yep, you've got the beater, the nice sport watch, and the nice dress watch. :)
  9. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

NICE! I just picked up this from the same boutique last week:
  10. Another SF Bay Area (Menlo Park) to LA (Monterey Park) trip report

I can definitely get 190-200 in Sport+ at 80-85. Which is what I got on my return trip. Normal actually defaults to a higher suspension setting.. did you change yours to low? And if you're averaging 5-10mph high, that would make sense you'd drop by that much more than me. If I stick to...
  11. Another SF Bay Area (Menlo Park) to LA (Monterey Park) trip report

I think I saw 190s from the EA 350 at Harris (just last week). Mind you I arrived with about 11% SOC.
  12. Has Adaptive Cruise Control including Active Lane Keeping improved yet ?

I've got a 2020 TTS, fwiw. It's better than my 2016 Model X's Autopilot, and worse than my 2019 Model 3's EAP. I'm fine with relying on it for long highway cruises and semi-monitored stop-and-go highway traffic, which is what I use AP on the Model X for as well. The Model 3's EAP was better...
  13. Another SF Bay Area (Menlo Park) to LA (Monterey Park) trip report

Comes out to around 230-235 miles with Range mode and driving 80+ while fully laden. Around 210 with Sport+ and driving 80-85 with 90s at times.
  14. *SOLVED* - locking your doors WIHTOUT keyfob - using your hand...

I had problems locking my Taycan until this thread. I do have Suntek PPF with the ceramic coating as well. After spending all week with the Taycan on a roadtrip, using this method worked 100% of the time.
  15. Another SF Bay Area (Menlo Park) to LA (Monterey Park) trip report

2020 Taycan Turbo S (so all the fun standard stuff like big battery and 21" mission E wheels) - Full SOC upon departure from Bay area, Range mode with max set to 90mph (by setting Nav destination) - Stopped at Harris Ranch for lunch at EA chargers, so got back to 100% SOC. Had about 50mi left...
  16. *SOLVED* - locking your doors WIHTOUT keyfob - using your hand...

If only it would auto-lock when you walked away and it detected no one was in the vehicle.....................
  17. Passenger Display + ALK

Lets my wife DJ without her having to reach over or muck with my NAV.
  18. ? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

Agile has nothing to do with it. And honestly, for something so closely tied to a mission-critical (2.5 ton land rocket) piece of equipment, you probably want waterfall-esque regression testing anyways, which clearly isn't happening with all the various regressive bugs that pop up after every...
  19. Do we need PTV - Porsche Torque Vectoring?

It contributes to making things less of a handful when driving remotely close to limits.. even on the street when you've got to make emergency maneuvers. Having had relatively high-power vehicles without even a mechanical LSD in the past, I can't imagine not having this checked in a vehicle...
  20. Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

    I *might* be into watches.
