  1. Latest Taycan Software Update Findings and Reviews Thread

As far as I can tell reading this thread, all these updates have already been present in my MY2022 since I’ve had the car (Dec 2021). I am scheduled for an update next week so I guess the only new thing I can look forward to are those garish new icon colors (and perhaps improved stability? I...
  2. Pick Two: RAS, Surround View, Upgraded Seats

Tough one. I have all 3 options and they are the options that are difficult to value until they're absent. 1) RAS - I think I love it but I haven't spent time in a Taycan without it. Given what I've read and felt, I would say that it's absolutely worth it. The turning radius of this large car...
  3. Model year 2021 vs 2022 biggest changes

Aluminum pedals were offered as an option starting for MY2022, not standard. I did consider optioning these but was swayed away based on opinions I’ve read about them on other Porsche models. Apparently the grip may not be as good if your shoes are wet vs standard pedals.
  4. Important Free Software Update for Your Taycan Now Available at Your Porsche Dealer

I made an appointment ~2 weeks from now to do the update. When I called in, they didn't have any information or service bulletins with more context. Hopefully there will be some useful anecdotes from the brave testers on this forum in the next few days. :)
  5. Taycan headlights wanna be? What is it?!

You have a gift for writing. I could picture exactly the car based on the two vague sentences that you shared.
  6. Time from waitlist to allocation - your experience?

Killer deal, congrats! Curious - how many dealers did you check with in SoCal and did you check NorCal dealers?
  7. Time from waitlist to allocation - your experience?

MY22 4S Deposit made in June 2021 Order submitted with commission number in July Build started October Delivered early December to Northern California TrackYourDream was fairly accurate throughout and the vehicle actually arrived a little earlier than the website estimated. I would suggest...
  8. Flat tires from potholes

How recent was this? Either it was some time ago or you’re just incredibly fortunate. I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 35 years and the roads have seemingly gotten much worse in the last few years. For the last decade+ I’ve lived in San Francisco, so I haven’t been driving all that much. But every...
  9. Dashcam in a Taycan?

I don’t believe that this is true, at least with the Taycan. If you are running the dashcam off the 12V unswitched / 24-7, then I’d expect the 12V battery to die in a few hours. The 12V is charged by the high voltage battery when the car is turned back on. Someone else please correct me if you...
  10. Celebs with the Taycan

Maybe I’m having a whoosh moment, but that’s John Legend, an American singer, and that’s a US spec car so he is getting into the driver’s seat.
  11. Driver’s door popped open whilst driving!

Do you have the car set to lock the doors when driving? Weird issue.
  12. Egress Warner

Is this the interior door panel? Is there a way to distinguish between one with or without the warner light just by looking at it?
  13. Egress Warner

Thanks, good info. Sensor H seems to be hidden behind the rear bumper cover (no visible circular sonic sensor). My bumper isn't dirty but it was PPF wrapped (so far no impact to other sensors as far as I can tell). Looks like I'll have to wait until more MY22 owners get PPF and see if that's...
  14. How have you configured your centre display and hot key?

Just spent some time setting my car up today. HUD: Power meter Central display: Nav, Media, Trip Steering wheel shortcut: Next track Instrument cluster shortcut: ParkAssist cameras
  15. Egress Warner

Did you get this figured out? I’m getting the same warning in my MY22 now too and I have no idea what is causing it. The car has less than 200 miles on it, but I did have PPF put on immediately after I picked up the car. I’m assuming the warner uses the side mirror cameras, but those seem to be...
  16. Sports Design Pack

I have the side skirts and I honestly had to compare my car to a photo of one without them in order to verify that I had them on. It’s very subtle though I will say that I prefer them. I prefer the standard front and rear bumpers though. I usually prefer a more aggressive and sporty look, but...
  17. Is there a speed alarm setting in the Taycan?

Same issue for me. It’s worked for me in the past. After trying on newer devices recently I can’t get it downloaded anymore.
