Another Place (that's the name of the hotel!) in Ullswater is our go-to. I saw EV chargers there a year or two back, before the Taycan so didn't really check them out.
We love the hotel's design - cool, modern, boutique - and the many different activities and swim / water / spa experiences...
I stayed at the Pan Pacific (absolutely the best hotel in London right now!) recently and parked at the Barbican. You can book it in advance, it's reasonably-priced (for that part of London), but best of all they had EV chargers for FREE which made the parking well worth the money.
And yes...
I wish Porsche was more like a tech or software firm in this regard. Surely it would have saved a lot of customers and dealer technicians a lot of time, not to mention the cost of giving out courtesy cars and the like if they knew this could be fixed over the air.
And to placate all us...
I had the dreaded Porsche Connect unable to login / account greyed out issue that many UK (and other countries?) cars had.
It was supposed to take a day or two in dealership to fix - which involved resetting the whole system or something like that. I gave the dealer a tough time - surely a...
I love my HUD. I had it on my Volvo, and on the CT it is even better. It is really practical - I can see my speed and the speed limits in my direct line of sight, which is really useful for the 20/30mph zones. And just as useful at just over 70mph when you want to uhm... carefully skirt the...
Haha thanks! I am still torn really. I am in my early 40s, so most days I just want an understated-yet-amazing-looking car that I will enjoy driving. Which is why I did not hold back with the interior options - HUD and red seat belts, must haves - and saved with the exterior options. This me is...
Long may this continue. I can tell my wife that these cars are all "investments" now, really, and that buying any other brand would be silly as those depreciate!
Hahaha it's amazing how new design is sometimes controversial at first, and then people grow into it...
You may have a point, if you benchmark with Audi / Volvo's cross-road offerings. I don't believe they sell very well, and have always thought they looked weird. Like a jacked up stationwagon...
Yes, I did WBAC as well and it was also about £4k below what I paid. I did not ask about part-ex, I figured whatever they said now wasn't going to hold anyway.
But it would interesting to see what they offer compared to WBAC, as they would understand the value of the options etc... or so we hope?
I've taken the plunge and placed a deposit on the GTS Sport Turismo, with my Taycan 4 CT just barely a month old :CWL:
I love my base CT, but I've been somewhat regretting not going with a 4S. I particularly would love the red brake calipers and the 21" Cross Turismo design wheels. And in...
I just took delivery of my CT in the UK and was hunting high and low in the car for a printed manual but couldn't find one.
If this is some eco drive then strangely they thought it fit to print hundreds of pages in two volumes and multiple languages for the Porsche mobile charger connect...
Just got my car! Will post my thoughts in another thread, but just wondering if anybody knows what these are? I found a pair of them in my glove compartment. Could it be something from the Thatcham Smart Tracker?
They're just slightly smaller than a Porsche key.
It's a standard Hire Purchase agreement.
I've just found the legal clause in the finance agreement, I guess I should have read the fine print and clauses:
Tracker: We reserve the right to put a tracker on the vehicle prior to delivery to you. We do this for the
purposes of contract compliance...
Yes, that's a good point. This is my first Porsche and my first car at this price range. It's always so hard to say how long I will keep a car - I bought a new E46 BMW that I thought I would keep forever. Then came along a Golf GTI and a DSG fart that had me happily trading "down" to a VW!
It...
Just wondering if any UK Taycan owners have had a tracker installed with/without you knowing?
I found out by chance today (speaking to an employee of JBR Capital who are financing the car) that there was a slight delay to collection as they had to wait for the "installation of a tracker"...
Many thanks for the replies!
I think there are two clear camps - those who don't mind battle scars, and those who want their cars in pristine shape all the time.
The problem for me is that I'd usually be in the latter camp for a few months, spending time to send it for a proper wash and...
Another giddy-with-excitement new Porsche owner here. Got the good news that my CT4 (ordered in May) is now at the dealership, and that pickup will be this week.
I've seen many of your immediately go with ceramic and PPF. Is it really worth the £5k+ (or more?)
I've always treated my cars as...
Thanks for sharing - looks awesome!
Like you I'm working on a budget and trying to keep it below 100k.
It's a huge toss up between a 4 with all the toys and trimmings, or a pretty basic 4S.
Interesting that you've pretty much excluded all the basic cheaper bits - folding/dimming mirrors, 360...
