Raise the issue with Porsche NA, sounds like you’re being ripped off, especially if others have chips and their system still works fine… will need to check mine now.
I have race tex in my gt4 and leather in the Taycan. I like race tex for the occasional blast, for a daily driver I much prefer leather.
If the GT is going to be fun car and not a daily hack I’d get race tex and keep the keep the extra/unique controls.
I'm in a similar situation, 2021 4S CT moving to ST Turbo. For me it was the performance, range, turbo differentiation, comfort, faster charging (and hopefully new heater) in that order. Been told car available July.
I liked the new 21" Turbo Aero on the configurator, not so sure now, they appear quite bland. The new 20" Turbo Aero might be better, seem to have a bit more detail. Did any of the cars have those?
I think the rear motor is the same as the Gen2 Taycans which is more powerful than current, looks like the 900amp inverter generating the extra power mostly at launch and in attack mode.
Both GT cars also have new and lighter PCCBs
I rate RAS, my Taycan has a smaller turning circle than my wife's mini. Handy for parking and narrow streets.
If going upgraded brakes I'd go the whole hog and get PCCB, the PSCBs are heavy.
I'm having similar deliberations. Currently I have 20" on my CT4S which I find excellent but I'm leaning towards the new 21" Aero wheels.
Range is important for me and the new 21" Aero tyres are the same width as the 20", 245 front 285 rear, vs 265 front and 305 rear on the mission E 21"...
The new 21” turbo aero wheels have almost same range as the 20” turbo aero. The tyre widths are the same on both. According to Porsche 1 mile less range combined, same range city.
That’s interesting, it is still not available in the uk configurator. Porsche have said it will be released at some point, perhaps some markets getting it before others?
I’m hoping it will be available as a dealer fit upgrade (per current Taycan) if it’s not released in time for the initial...
The proactive leaning and helicoptering seems to be what is most unusual and contentious from the early drives but this aspect of the system only operates on normal mode and can be turned off. I think PAR looks like a great innovation and will spec it, am sure Porsche will have tuned it for...
I think, and am hoping, future values will hold up for Gen2 cars, with fewer buyers, new technology and the current glut of cars working through the system a more normal / stable situation will hopefully arrive in 3 or 4 years from now.
I’ve ordered a turbo and awaiting finance options. The new cars have not been updated into the system yet, suspect they are trying to figure out the GFV.
It is a mysterious (dealers don't have samples yet) new colour for various trim items on the turbo models. The badge, side sill inserts, front lower lip insert, wheels (varying places), seatbelts and contrasting stitching on the turbo models.
