Still very happy. Had one issue with AC which took way too long to fix but I had a loaner panamera and the service manager took care of me with some freebies afterwards.
Driven most days although mostly short trips. Just did a 300 mile round trip and was seeing about 270-280+ range.
My Apple EV routing stopped showing the correct amount of charge so I went into the car this morning to correct. When I did so, I was prompted for the update (drove the car daily, MY22 4S, for the past week but perhaps I missed the prompt earlier).
Followed the instructions as I remember them...
Good post and I would agree with most of this. The PCM thing is spot on. Sometimes I want to press a damn button or at least get some haptic feedback. The Tesla obsession with having almost everything on a touch screen is exactly what you expect from a company that has software rather than car...
My Tesla was 97k, I think plus about a 10k refund in tax credits. Sold it 4.5 years later for 50k, so 37k loss over 54 months, not too shabby.
The Taycan was 130k and about 8.25k in credits. I looked at KBB value and it is about 110k after 18 months. I've only done just over 8k miles so far...
I have a headrest rattle from both headrests when the headrest is moved forward. When you push it back, it doesn't rattle. Dealer advised this cannot be fixed. Do your headrests move back and forward and did they rattle when in the forward position?
I just called Clipper Creek and had a nice conversation with their tech support. He explained the handshake process of communication between the Taycan and their unit which is causing this problem. He said that all of their units will have the same behavior so if I purchase a Clipper Creek unit...
Thanks. I already have a 50 amp breaker for the existing NEMA. I like the idea of the Wifi with the juice box but from what I understand, Clipper creek is very reliable. What do you think? Better to stick with clipper creek?
I’ve noticed with public clipper creek installs, they do not work when...
What hardwired charger do people recommend? I recently got a quote to upgrade my NEMA socket to the Hubbell one but I think I would rather just go with the hardwire. I believe my utility company is recommending the following hardwire options...
Hadn’t noticed this before, only noticed it the last few days so don’t know if it’s always been this way. When I get in the car in the morning, the car time is wrong. It correct a few seconds after I start driving, it shows the time of the last time I was in the car.
The car is normally garaged...
Thank you. I was playing with PCM for 20 mins and could not find an option anywhere. Quick google did not yield any results either so presumably not a current feature.
Are you aware why the public clipper creek stations flip out if you’re using profiles or timers?
There are clipper creek chargers at the airport. If I have my Taycan set to timed charging, the clipper creek goes nuts and keeps turning on and off with a loud audible clicking noise. If I select direct charging, there is no issue. I was wondering if there was a faulty charger at the airport...
How about 70-75mph? :D
Overall I am pretty happy with the range and also how the vehicle holds charge when not in operation. With my model S, it would lose about 1% every day and the advertised range was a joke - it was about 20% off or more. I'm seeing 50 miles more than advertised range...
I have done PPF but in 6 years I have never stuck the decals on my car and so far have not had an issue with being stopped. I have them in my glove box.
Had an opportunity to test range today. Did a 218 mile round trip from 100% and arrived home with 21% charge/57 miles or a real world range of about 275 miles. I have a MY22 4S with premium battery and 20” wheels.
I did a similar trip before the update and it seemed to be about the same so I...
