I doubt you would get a discount and I doubt anyone puts them on for every minute they are not in the car. I see they now do an angle grinder proof one to defeat the rise of the portable angle grinder
I have seen one like that recently that appears to come from Halfords. I wouldn’t use it… I bought a Disklok for occasional use. I think they are better than most of the physical locks

I am on Octopus Intelligent and have never seen one of these. Where do they advertise them? Is it like the saving sessions on the app and their WhatsApp?
Macan GTS just feels pedestrian and unresponsive compared to my Taycan. However, post the same question on a Macan forum and they will give you completely the opposite answer. Maybe you have already done this - but forums are pretty polarised toward the car they represent.
Panels quote a peak output. If they all face the same way you may well achieve this at times. If they are on opposite side of the house then you won’t. A 7kW inverter should be fine for you. In practice you won’t discharge 12kW to the grid because your battery won’t be discharging when the sun...
Interesting. Thanks. I had a 4S that had PS4 tyres - they wore much more evenly. Different car, but I think the Michelins were much better although probably not as quiet.
I saw the last US eclipse in 2017. We planned a holiday around it and it was well worth it for the experience. I would travel to see one again but would plan a holiday around it that I also wanted to do. It is an amazing spectacle of nature and experiencing it is not quite the same as watching...
What tyres do you have and how many miles have they done? I know that many of your miles will have been on your winter tyres. I have Pirelli Cinturato on mine and they have worn unevenly on the rear - not impressed with them at all. Will be lucky if they are legal after about 11-12k miles (worn...
In addition to this you will also get 15p/kWh that you export. Our usage at these times is normally zero but we were paid for export. Approx £100 total plus the export payment
Interesting to see all of the different software/setups people have.
For the inverter, the headline figure (5kW, 3.6kW, 7.5kW) is the amount of power that it can convert from DC to AC. So our 5kW inverter can convert 5kW of DC power from either the solar panels or the panels + battery into AC...
No! You will need to wait for next March. The whole point is that you will start being charged next April, so if you do now, you will ensure that you do get charged next April.
Well that must have taken me a full 30 seconds once I had the V5 in my hand. Not sure how much it will really save as mine is due in November. So initially £60. Will then depend which month it goes up each year
