Driving in a wet
climate like the UK is challenging for any car. My Aston DB11 was 3.5 years old with full PPF. There were no dirty edges or any imperfections on the vehicle when I sold it back to Aston. In fact you could see your face in the paintwork. The main dealers professional buyer said...
My last 3 cars were Jag XKR, Jag SVR, and Aston DB11. I'm very careful where I park and use all the camera tools but I'm afraid at some time or other I've misjudged a kerb and kerbed one and on one occasion done both. Where you can always take the wheel and tyre insurance the dealer offers...
Upsides are 1) acceleration 2) lovely ride 3) very quiet 4) Bose audio 5) futuristic looks and better looking than any other EV but I like other combustion engine cars better 6) and defo Tax benefits in UK. Downsides to me are 1) prefer something a little shorter and a tad narrower (922 size)...
4S was with the dealer for 8 days awaiting a £950 wiring repair caused by a little mouse gnawing away at 2 little wires connected to the coolant valve (as attached image). Under final test the dealer found an unconnected heater problem. Now it's left with the dealer awaiting 2 heater server...

There was me thinking it was another Porsche software issue !!!. Well, not this time, as the problem was closer to home as a little mouse decided he wanted somewhere warm to live over winter and needed a little snack. £950 repair cost + car hire.
Prior to ordering my new Taycan 4S I was given both a 911S (922) and Taycan 4S for the day to test drive. I loved the 911 as its a pure sports car, and with the double clutch and noise this adds to the experience. I also watched YouTube videos from various experts who said the Taycan drove like...
I have also a 2004 Nissan Xtrail which is tantamount to a farm vehicle. I use it to take stuff to the tip and go fishing. It costs me £300 per year to service with ocasionally a bit more for brakes and discs etc. Never anything wrong. Unfortunately, EV cars nowadays are just high end...
When I bought my 1 year old car in July 21, I received a video from Porsche Bournemouth which I reviewed today. The salesman advised that there wasn't really much to do other than a visual inspection, reviewing brakes/suspension pieces, plugging in the battery, downloading software updates. He...
Porsche Assistance acting through the AA came out on Monday 15 Nov 21 but their diagnostic computer could not communicate with the car. Engineer thought that as the car was a new model their diagnostics equipment and/or software was not compatible. Car was taken on transporter vehicle to dealer...
Off for a weekend holiday today (only 100 mile round trip). Battery at 79%, outside temp 13c, drove for a few hundred metres when I experienced a lack of power, massively reduced acceleration and noticed the dreaded yellow turtle icon light flashing on the front display. Parked up and switched...
I ordered mine in July 21 with an expected delivery date of 2nd quarter 2022. Also learnt that demand is double to what was expected. So I couldn't wait and decided to purchase a 1 year old Taycan with the intention to part-ex this in against the new one. With demand being high I don't expect...
My dealer stated in a normal second hand market you recover about 50% of the £4,000 cost of PBP at sale. Therefore, is £2,000 actual cost worth an extra 30 mile and 50 BHP. Personally, the 30 miles extra is neither here or there as I would never need it locally and almost on all long distances...
Same for me. Booked in to Porsche to have it sorted. The smear on lens appears to be an over spill of ceramic polish applied by dealer and that has since been cleaned. However, Image is distorted and resolution very poor and shows bottom of numberplate.
