I have been a huge Porsche supporter for decades. I am just expressing my views. Yes, the picture in my profile is one of the 4 Porsches I currently own. It is an original 1987 M505 with 28,600 miles on it. I should have put my 1989 930 Turbo blk/blk with 13,900 miles or one of my current Turbo...
I am very disappointed Porsche toned down the Mission E exterior design. Why? I wish a reporter would ask. The front tire fenders down, the wide rear shoulders and aggressive look from the "E" gone and it now looks like a Panamera. The Turbo S with options is now over $200,000. If it looked...
I was planning on purchasing a Turbo S. The video looks like one of the mules. Very disappointing. I like the aggressive look and wide rear hips of the "E". I believe many people were attracted to the exterior design. I think it is a mistake that Porsche toned down the design, especially the...
I will get the Turbo S. However if it looks like the mules and does not look like the "E" wide rear hips and sleek athletic look, then I will purchase something else. I will not spend that much money for a car when I have been getting marketing material on a product that looks like the "E"
I hope so. The interior looks great. If the production exterior looks like the mules and not like the "E" then I think it will be a big mistake for Porsche. Porsche keeps showing the "E" in marketing material, even in their most recent video. I am keeping my fingers crossed but I am concerned.

I just read the Car and Driver article and saw the pictures. Performance sounds good, which it should but the styling concerns me. I hope I am wrong. I don't see a car that looked like the "E" Porsche sold me on. No wide rear hips or aggressive styling. It will be a Big Mistake! We will see soon
I have a BMW M6 Competition with 600hp and it is great. I will be considering the M8 Competition Gran Coupe but I want to see the final Taycan Turbo S first. Hopefully it will look like the E.
Thank you for the pictures. I am still concerned with the rear hips width and aggressiveness. Porsche keeps pushing images of the E and they need to deliver.
I agree with The Snape. Porsche has now over 30,000 deposits because the majority of people want the aggressive looks, wide rear hips, spoiler etc.My local Porsche dealer said a lot of depositors are worried it will look like the terrible mules. My only positive thought is that Porsche continues...
My local Porsche dealer said that Porsche needs to get as close as possible in design to the E. It will be a big mistake if it looks like a Panamera. A lot of depositors are worried. If Porsche is doing the double bubble for Turbo versions, I hope Porsche adds the wide rear fenders and tires for...
If Porsche has a double bubble roof for the Turbo and Turbo S, I have one on my BMW M6 Competition and it looks great, hopefully Porsche will have those wide rear hips with wide tires like the Mission E for the Turbo versions as well. I still don't see it on the above picture but better then...
I am going to wait to see the actual Taycan release in September. As I have been saying since I joined I will buy the Turbo S but if it does not have the aggressive look, wide rear hips etc. like the Mission E, I will get my deposit back. I have been a Porsche guy since my childhood and own 4...
Thanks PAG_J1.
But will the rear fenders be as wide as the production sketch released a couple of weeks ago? Your picture of the back seems like it will? Thanks!
I agree with GreggT. If the Taycan's body looks like the mules, Porsche has missed a big opportunity. A lot of people put down deposits with expectations of the "E" body style. Wide rear hips and aggressive style. As I said before I am hoping the Turbo S has the aggressive wide rear hips.
Thank you.
I understand the sketch, however what I am hoping for is the wide rear hips and aggressive design of the E. Maybe the Turbo S will have it. That is the one I will buy. The sketches just released are perfect. The mules don't come close.
Hopefully PAG_J1 can answer it.
Maybe.
My guess is that a strong majority of deposits were based on the design of the Mission E. EVS are not selling well in the USA and the Taycan design will be critical for Porsche.
Why is Porsche releasing sketches last week of the Taycan that look great and similar to the E? Not good if...
Hi PAG_J1,
Can you please clarify, will the Taycan look like the recent aggressive looking sketches with the wide rear hips and sleek style or the mules? I like the sketches and own several Turbo S cars. Thanks!
I agree with Gregg T. When I walk away from my 89 930 Turbo it is a great feeling. Maybe we will get lucky and Porsche decides to use the Mission E body for a Turbo S version. The more aggressive/wide body.
