Hi guys. Not sure if This has been uploaded before but I got this from porsche OPC and they’re now updating Nelly car. It shows you all the things they update.
notice that on latermodel years like my GTS, some of the updates are already done.
apologies if that has already been posted.
Hi guys, where is this "safe charging" button? My Taycan has never gone over 100kwph while rapid charging and thats a PITA when I'm in a rush. I can't find the setting in the user manual.
Any help is appreciated.
On the right hand drive the design feels like it’s for a lhd car. When you open it the bottom is on the drivers side and really your arm doesn’t bend that way. Then the lid is offset with a bit that sticks out and catches your elbow whoever you open it. If it was reversed none of this would be...
Big fan of all those points. Id also like to see the gear selector moved.
the tactile nature of a porsche is so important and all this haptic screen crap is due for the bin in my opinion.
600 miles ain't going to happen for years and years if ever. Unless it's a barge like an S class. Maybe Porsche will keep the panamera for that role who knows. But i Cant see it.
This, I also have a Jag iPace with the same size battery as the Taycan. It will never charge faster than 50kwph and I'm sorry, but no one wants to sit at a charger for 2 hours to fill a battery when doing more than the 180 mile range it has (Claimed 300 miles range BTW, what a joke).
The Taycan...
This really is a benefit. I have Electric Sport Sound on my GTS and I love it. But I turn it off on the long motorway runs I do.
Conversely on my 996 I have the induction kit, resonator delate and Miltek stainless exhaust AND no stereo. It's LOUD. But on a run, it's annoying as hell!!!! :CWL:
So another maybe thread from me, sorry!
Tacan T, do you think it's possible? I know it ain't lightweight, but non of the T's are really, are they? Macan T?!
I think it would be a nice car to base on the basic RWD Taycan and would make a nice gen.1 runout model. Here's my guess for spec:
RWD...
Thats essentially what they always do on the mid life refresh. Mod the engine and a tweak to the looks.
Look at the 997.1 vs .2
I dont think they will delay the refresh, it just makes the brand more valuable as it's hard to get.
Forget the model year updates, this is an EU manufacturer and all the main stuff is done at mid life refresh, then new model, ie. 996.1 / 996.2 / 997.1 / 997.2
Big upgrades on similar chassis every 4-5 years over 15-16 years or so.
With the 4-5 year mid life cycle not that far off considering...
It's not even on the Porsche UK website yet. I actually like it. But i wouldn't trade in my GTS for another tweaked GTS.... I think i'll wait for taycan facelift GTS or go mad and get the electric cayman 1000BHP!
They don't actually have to sell many, it's pure marketing.
The less they sell, the more "exclusive" it is. Porsche knows what they're doing to loosen our pockets don't worry...

I’ve always seen the 79kw batteries at $50k I assumed...
