FitCamX works great for me. Installation was not easy, but doable for someone with no prior experience with these things. After leaving my car at the dealer for a few days, got to download some files to see how they handle her when I'm not around...
I hadn't either until I saw your configuration. The 2024 Taycan configurator shows partial leather for standard (pretty much everywhere your body touches other than the headrest), whereas the 2025 has artificial leather throughout. It's a steep increase, but I'd say worth it.
Interestingly enough - and I don't know that this has gotten much attention - but Porsche is going to a totally non-leather (i.e., artificial leather) interior for the "standard interior" option in 2025... whereas for 2020-2024, the standard interior is leather in most parts of the seats and...
A few suggestions: Unless you absolutely love the panoramic roof, I'd lose that and the insulated glass and use that $3K+ and spring for the extended leather in gray. Then I'd add the Bose . I think you could be happy with that.
Edit - second the surround view. It's a big car and a low car...
A similar thing happened down the street from me with a Model X that crashed into a gas station and then burned all night long - similar story - drunk teenager with mom's car.
At first I was thinking - 100mph - that's insane, but these cars gather speed so quickly. Certainly too quick for any...
She's lucky she didn't die and had only minor injuries... a testament to the car's safety features and a whole lot of luck. 10 years ago at that speed and with that weight I think you've got 3 dead likely. She'll also be lucky to escape a long prison sentence presuming her male passenger...
It's funny you say GEICO. I switched to them to cover my Taycan at more than half the rate of USAA for the same coverage. It's now $1800/year rather than $4000 per year for USAA.
FWIW I had a 2012 M3 comp package (i.e., "E90"), which is the last M3 with hydraulic steering and a true 8600RPM V8 - and while I wish I had kept it for track days, there's no comparison - they Taycan is a superior driving experience to me in every way.
I doubt very much that's the case. I think they are all made in the same factories and on the same lines. The quality of the leather... that might be a different story... or maybe the way you get into and out of the car is just different. Or, maybe you got lucky.
Thank you. I think it's a design issue on the latest generation of ventilated seats (there's a whole 6-page thread on it on another site if you google "saggy seat bottoms" "Porsche") but of course Porsche has a service bulletin that says, effectively, leather is a natural product and it...
This happened to my seats. Porsche won't do anything about it. As @Tomato noted, you have to kind of push yourself off before you start to get out of the car because otherwise the torsion between your arse and the seat as you turn will cause the leather to stretch like that. I'm pissed off...
Depending on the specifications, current market for that model and year is around $65-$70K for a private sale. Dealers will of course offer less because they need to make a profit. Best bet is probably to offer it locally on autotrader or through the PCA/Rennlist. Good luck.
I'm all for color in other cars - I'd strongly prefer it in my own - but I just think personally the Taycan's lines do best in white/silver. I can't help it, as I really would prefer it otherwise.
