I use the car to commute daily to work - round trip is 130KM. The days that i don't charge it and let the battery drift below 50%, i notice this phenomenon. GOM loses 50-65km from 100% to say 10%

Good stuff. I’ve noticed that when I charge to 100, I do get 500km Range on the guess-o-meter. However, the range starts to drop after the battery reaches below 40% and the total driven KM possible ends up at 450km. Anyone, think this is a battery fault or just the way the guess-o-meter works

Can someone share the noise/humming that is mentioned in the recall. I’d like to see if I also have this issue and get my SA to take a look into this.

I agree with you that it’s hard to notice it if you don’t know what you are listening out for. But once you hear the squeal it’s hard to unhear it :headbang:

i have a (22)4S, it makes the sound in my car well. Friend has a (21)turbo doesn’t make the sound

I’ve done 32K Km, No tracking or hard driving, just a regular work commute. It is not a brake pad/rotor issue it sounds like it’s a motor/inverter issue.

Is there a way to verify that the ionizer is active/working apart from the tick mark in the AC “air quality” menu. I recall that there was a small icon on the top PCM screen when the ionizer was ticked, but since the uPdate that icon has disappeared/no longer showing

The Tech has acknowledged that there is a sound, but he has brushed it off as normal. I have a friend whos Taycan doesnt make that sound. Im going to take it to the shop to make him realize that it is not normal. Please let me know what the outcome of your visit is.

They have marked it as normal, however, they really didn't diagnose it, they do confirm that they can hear it but they didn't really care about it.

i got a quote for a 30K KM serivce in the UAE for AED5300 (GBP 1157 in today's exchange rate). What a rip off. If any members in the UAE have an alternative, please let me know

this happens during light acceleration as well. And the brake aren’t used during this range of speed, the noise starts after 15kmph and stops before 35kmph, it could be happening at higher speeds as well but the road noise is louder at those speeds

No this happens in the straights as well , I have the video for that but it was too long to upload. It’s not the Ackerman effect for sure. The noise is induced only under input from brake or accelerator pedal, i think it might be the motor or inverter

To me it sounds like the pedestrian warning sound.
