  1. Powered Charge Port Cover - YES or No?

I have it, no issues and my kids think it's cool. Of course, it's not necessary and supposedly there is a range impact, but I have no way of noticing that one way or the other.
  2. How do I know if a Taycan has had software updates

Yes, the alarm issue was fixed in the prior update before the big uPdate
  3. Taycan and EV's on the road US vs EU

I live in LA and the density of EVs is quite high. Tesla does still have the highest market share, but I will see multiple Taycans every time I take a 10 min drive. It actually bums me out slightly since the car is less unique than it was even a few months ago. We do love our SUVs though -...
  4. Panoramic glass roof in SoCal - Cabin Temp

I live in Socal and have the panoramic roof. I love it. Like any car, it gets hot when you leave it in the sun. But I've found the cabin cools down really quickly and AC maintains temp beautifully. Preconditioning the cabin is actually one of my favorite features. Love getting in to a...
  5. Would you buy a Taycan again?

yes, absolutely. I've had the same "gremlins" as others with the internal alarm issue, PCM logging out, can't get Homelink to work, inconsistent charging at EA, etc. BUT, it is by far the most fun car to drive I've ever had. The whole thing is just an absolute joy every time I get behind...
  6. Tire and Wheel protection from Porsche?

I usually pass these things up, but I got it and have already used it twice in 4 months. If you live in a city, feels like a must. First was a puncture from a screw in the road, second was a scuffed rim from a poor parking job.
  7. Alarm recall

I did mine and have not had any alarm issues since!
  8. Center storage

To each their own, but I really like that the wireless charging is tucked into the center console. The connection stays flawless as the phone is secured, it looks cleaner, and I'm not tempted to use the phone itself while driving :)
  9. Recent experiences with PEC LA Delivery?

I live in LA and they still said PECLA would delay delivery by 4-6 weeks. So i skipped it. I think you can still go and play around on the track, which i plan to do at some point.
  10. Send navigation to vehicle.

I can send destination to vehicle from the app. But as others have said, I never do because it takes anywhere from 2 - 10 minutes to actually show up in the car. Which makes it unusable. I end up just using Google maps via carplay.
  11. My Porsche app for charging at EA stations

I have to use the My Porsche app as described earlier to initiate the free charging at EA. For whatever reason, most of the time the EA charger display will say it's not charging or "disconnect" but it is in fact charging. You can audibly hear the buzz and usually the Porsche app will also...
  12. Allocations?

I just went through this process in the LA area. Every dealership made noise about the scarcity of allocations. Some had January slots available now, others were taking deposits against slots they expected to get in Oct-Nov for Feb-Mar deliveries. Several asked $10k over MSRP but I called...
  13. PEC LA delivery pushed out two months

I just ordered my Taycan for January delivery and was planning to do the PEC delivery. My sales rep was kind enough to give me the heads up that would delay delivery by several weeks so I took it off before ordering. I am not sure why that is the case, but who knows with supply chains right now.
