Mobile body repairs recommendations south east?

Just updating for anyone interested: Impact Sprayworks in Reading did a great job at £300 instead of the £1600 I was originally quoted (including a reset of the ADAS), or £900 if I did the reset. Turns out no reset was required, the job took one day, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

My Porsche / App functions missing?

Deleted and reinstalled the app: My Porsche on phone still not functional. Deleted cookies, files and history from Chrome: My Porsche on MacBook still not functional. Let it sleep overnight: worked like magic. Must have been a car / server altercation. Friends once again!

My Porsche / App functions missing?

Good point. Will do. But even the web based version is missing the same details so I think it's car related.

My Porsche / App functions missing?

Yes, I thought it might be that, but I can lock and unlock, etc. Very annoying!

My Porsche / App functions missing?

Is anyone else not getting the usual information on My Porsche / the app in the UK? As of this morning, some features are missing, and the image of the car has disappeared. iOS app version v7.23.21 Build 206, the latest I could find.

Mobile body repairs recommendations south east?

Some heathen must have ran a shopping trolley along the side of my car and I now have a scratch on the rear of my (white) CT4. It's runs through the paint and down to the plastic, although there's no dent. Can anyone recommend a mobile body repair device in the Reading area? Just needs sanding...

    Scaremongering - or an issue?

I was just been sent this by someone on a Tesla forum. It's in the tradition of Tesla owner Porsche-baiting, but hey. At least our steering wheels don't fall off. I can't see how a silent update would even work, given the difficulties Porsche has demonstrated in pushing non-silent ones, but I...

Taycan Owners and Very Narrow Lanes

It's damn wide, as Avantgarde says, and feels wider. Nimble, though, which is an odd, if pleasant, combination. A few weeks in the Highlands in the summer on single-track roads with passing places were fine and reassured me. It even handles central London well, although parts of SoHo are a...

    Range at high speeds?

Interesting. So can we agree on an "ideal" speed for motorway trips, balancing speed and efficiency? Please say it isn't 70mph... (Not that I'll adhere to it - there's something glorious about planting your foot at 70mph and waiting for the push from second gear engaging, and watching traffic...

OTA screwed up my PCM at 3AM

To be fair, it's not every time, and I cannot prove there's a connection between the OTA updates or coverage and the PCM freezing. But its the only explanation I have for it!

OTA screwed up my PCM at 3AM

Not sure what initiates an OTA, and whether decent cell coverage is a requirement, but there's certainly no confirmation of what's going on - other than the Porsche beachball screen of death, it seems!

OTA screwed up my PCM at 3AM

I'm convinced my 'loading' screen PCM hang ups are down to OTAs not working due to poor cell coverage, which is an issue around here. Is there a way of confirming when OTA updates are received and actioned? I assume these are logged and so can be checked from the OBD, if not the PCM itself?

25% of Scottish EV chargers not working…

Good advice - the RFID card is ESSENTIAL! We were fine in the end, and as W1NGE says, some failsafe planning is important. Reckon I spent three weeks on apps of different types. And with the west coast, make sure ferry crossings are enabled in the nav settings. With only 30 miles of range...

25% of Scottish EV chargers not working…

Managed a tour of the North West coast in the summer, and there were a few squeaky moments, not least of which was a 40-minute 4 am drive to Dunoon to access the "fast" charger before the ferry arrived, only to find a fairground setting up in the car park where the charger was sited! Managed...

    Protest at Porsche Showroom

It is a constant source of amusement to me that these idiots choose to use superglue, which is typically made from synthetic polymers that are often a byproduct of the petroleum industry. I agree with their argument but by God, they are managing to annoy everyone outside their swivel-eyed...
