Damage to underside of front fascia

Right, ideally I also fix the "female" part of where it threads, but it seems like a tall task. The entire piece would need to be removed to access that. I also thought what you just said, how gluing it would in fact make it hard to remove in the future but then... why would I need it...

Damage to underside of front fascia

I don't mean to hijack this topic, but I actually came here to post a nearly identical story. I bottomed out backing out of a driveway with a very sharp angle, and it tore off one of the screws that holds that lip on. Extremely annoying, sometimes you really have no choice even when the car is...

Porsche is modernising its PCM: greater performance and new features

100% agree on all fronts. Just way more polished. The Macan EV also just improves overall on a lot of the quirks of the Taycan in general, not just with the PCM - made me jealous in the week I had it as a loaner. Luckily I don't like SUVs so I didn't get too attached.

Sold my ‘24 Turbo S - be on the lookout

Yes, Maurice was awesome. He was my salesman. The service dept just doesn't seem to get it together. Example: I got a cold call asking me to come in to do some recalls. I said ok, I have the time now, and set it up. Same business day I get a call back from another person in the service dept...

Sold my ‘24 Turbo S - be on the lookout

That's my dealer... Horrible service department though.

Set your Porsche exterior color as app icon color on iPhone iOS and Android Phones

Worked for me, nice little touch. I use the widget pretty exclusively though. Maybe they can add it there in some way as well.

    Power failure/no acceleration on freeway

No, when the battery went down, I drove to work but was unable to drive home. It turned on but did not go into gear. I had to call Porsche who sent a flatbed. Let's hope for you this was just a one off thing.

    Power failure/no acceleration on freeway

I've had this too - and sadly, it was about 1-2 weeks prior to the battery failure. But I can't say they are related for sure. It was after charging it overnight too, so my working theory was the battery was overheated. After I parked the car at my job, it drove fine.

My New Oak Green Metallic 2024 Taycan

Is that the tallest hill in Florida? Excellent choices, pretty cool to see the new facelift models already getting delivered.

Dreaded Red Electrical System Error & Poll

You are not kidding. I will also keep everyone here informed as to how Porsche proceeds with compensation for it. I've been in contact with someone from Porsche Cars NA. He has been very sympathetic to my case, fortunately. Although I'm not entirely sure how to approach the subject without...

Dreaded Red Electrical System Error & Poll

FINALLY got my car back yesterday after almost 4 months. The tech told me the invoice wasn't even ready yet due how extensive the work was, but it didn't seem like it was a full battery replacement but rather just certain modules. I'll report back when I get the invoice. But my tracking can now...

    OBDEleven supports Taycan

I would kill for this, or at least saving the sport sound setting... why would this not be the default is beyond my understanding.

    Red Circle of DEATH

Not sure what "traction" battery is but I wish you a speedy recovery. Doesn't sound like the issue I'm having with the modules, or maybe it is, either way both lead to the Red RIng of Death™️

Dreaded Red Electrical System Error & Poll

They started work on mine today. Finally. Day 105! They said I'll probably get it by next week but I didn't think it took that long? Fix in a few days, test in a few days, should be end of the week no? Judging by the experiences of other users here.

    "TURBO".

They have their finger on the screen following along under the word they're actively reading.

    "TURBO".

It makes sense to me and it's funny how the car purists get so uptight about it. It's just branding. Turbo in English also just means quick/fast.

    Another warning circle

That's awful. How long did you have it back for? But it would probably qualify for lemon law, at least in my state. I'm likely to get mine middle of the month now, so if it happens again I'm going to go that route.

Add me to the list of owners with Red Ring of Death message

Interesting thought. Not to give electricsidecar more work, but maybe a column for region/country would be helpful in his tracking. https://github.com/ElectricSidecar/Porsche-Taycan/issues/15

Which drive mode do you use for driving in city and high way?

I have a 4S and it doesn't have a Sport Plus mode in terms of the motor/power, only Range, Normal and Sport. There is sport plus for the suspension mode, but since it doesn't change the acceleration/drive, I don't make an effort to turn that on every time I get in the car.
