Wow I sure lucked out not going with the pano roof because of the Texas heat and not even foreseeing the potential cracks. Whoever thought a rock could cause a chip on a virtually horizontal surface as the roof. Hope GEICO comes through for you!
One if the things I love most about the Taycan is it looks like an ICE both inside and out. I get so many comments like “that’s an EV?” while I’m charging, so I don’t believe the feedbacks they get are that it looks too much like an EV. I think it’s mostly for aerodynamics.
This thread is about battery issues due to some sort of causes which are unexpected. Then when you mentioned you always were able to get a loaner when you brought yours in, I related that to even during unexpected events and so my comment was on that. Agreed if you schedule ahead for routine...
If you make an appointment and specify that you need a loaner then they will give a date when one is available. I have never had one available when I called including the one I brought in last week or 2 at PNH. So if our car breaks down unexpectedly chances are we won’t have a loaner right...
2k CAD per year??? That sounds super high. I paid around $2500 for 5 years. I have had countless replacement tires due to nails, and 1 cracked rim on my 911 so the insurance paid for itself. I have only had one tire replacement on the Taycan and no rim damage yet.
I don’t about you but while waiting for mine to be delivered I have already researched everything on YouTube and had the equipment installed well in advance.
I have installed mine and used it maybe twice but I almost exclusively DC charge mine until the last 6 months or so since they’re either are down or just jammed packed. These days I charge with the Tesla wall charger that is hardwired, which is much safer.
Is your breaker either a GFCI or AFCI? I remember my electrician told me the GFCI breaker is more prone to tripping for the EVSE. And I had to replace around 10 AFCI ones throughout my house because they kept on tripping for no reason. It’s has been a year now since the last trip.
Some customers are hard to please and sometimes the 80/20 rule just works. I didn’t buy a Porsche for its EVSE, did you? I can understand if your HV battery is failing but c’mon it’s just a 19” cable and they’re replacing it. Getting the $600 check would the icing if it really does come but...
I don't see how a receipt is not necessary because the letter clearly stated that the $600 is to reimburse the equipment you've purchased, so if you didn't buy one then there's nothing to reimburse. How you'd like to receive the funds is irrelevant to whether or not you're qualified. My only...
6 months and 9k miles when the passenger rear got a nail on the edge. Since the remaining one was pretty worn out, I recall it has 5/32 left, I got both replaced-one was covered under tires insurance. 21” PZERO. I tend to think it’s due to the tire size and stickiness of these tires.
I know what mean by unbalanced tires but those causes a little bit of wheel wiggle. In this case, it’s very tiny but rapid vibrations. Also, the 4s is a ‘24 with only 1600 miles on it. My tires have been mounted for over 9k miles and haven’t been rebalanced since. And I just remember I kept...
I have a 4S loaner with identical wheels (Mission E) as mine but with GY tires right now, and they are horrible. They vibrates so much I can feel it on the steering wheel, and much noisier than the PZeros on mine. It was still wet from a rain and took a curve at around the same speed I always...
