'Need' is far too high a bar for inclusion in a Porsche. The bar should rather be a combination of convenience, usability, consistency, reliability, reduced cognitive load, user experience. While I do not find the UX of CarPlay particular good, it is better than PCM's, but for me the chief issue...
I’d say it has been happening for about two months now with my 2022 CT4. These notifications are apart from map updates. Hey are always the same six notifications. Deleting them causes them to arrive the next time I drive. Not deleting them has the same effect. I’m can’t see what else I am...
I had my PCM computer replaced, got the car back on Thursday, noticed on Friday that the app doesn't connect. It claims the car is in private mode, although the car itself claims it is not. I have toggled the private mode few times, signed in and out of the app and the car, but it remains...
Mine was fixed yesterday, and so far seems to be working. I did not get a false alarm last night which is a good sign because before the sensor replacement I could not leave my car locked in my garage with the interior sensor activated without triggering the alarm. So apparently this sensor is...
A few sedans, but as yet no other CTs, not even @philbur's! ;)
Well, I have seen a couple at the dealership, sold but not collected, but I am excluding those.
The "central computer PCM" (new computer is PAD-035-092-X) and "anti-theft alarm sensor" were replaced. It seems to be working so far, but the problem was intermittent, so I will become more sure it is working over time.
None of the screens came on yesterday, but today everything worked, albeit far more slowly than usual. It is being looked at today. I am a bit annoyed the problem is not precisely as it was yesterday, though. “But it doesn’t work on my machine is not a good diagnostic”
Has anyone one encountered the problem that only the instrument cluster display comes on? It seems like the touch surfaces work, but the displays on the other screens are not rendering anything. They are on, though. Things like park distance control, and Apple CarPlay work, but without any...
I do have a dedicated 100A circuit, and my HCS-80 is attached to it, so I could be charging at 15kW (I'd need a different EVSE to charge at 19kW), but can only charge at 10kW. This is the source of the justifiable regret.
The reason for such a circuit is to support two EVs simultaneously, which...
It is supported, is the default, and charging is limited to ~9.2kW off AC. My Taycan does not have the 19.2kW charger and charges at 10kW off my 64A EVSE (ClipperCreek HCS-80). Had I taken the 19.2kW charger it would charge at ~15kW. I only slightly regret not taking the option.
Great choice. This is what I have, and have been very happy with the setup. The ClipperCreek stuff is rock solid. You can probably tell the quality from just inspecting the unit(s). Very cool.
My guess is that the vast majority of deliveries are excellent. There is a strong bias towards reporting issues. There is a reason headline news doesn’t say “Yet again, for 700 days running, over 100,000 aircraft landed safely “ or “today 100 million gallons of water was consumed in the US...
They did not tell me what module it was. I spoke to a sales person. Thank you for the information, though. That is useful. I will ask when I speak to them tomorrow.
You could ask your electrician to run a NEMA 14-50 outlet from your new panel, and plug your Porsche charger into it with its NEMA 14-50 plug. That should be pretty cheap to add, and allows a fallback if your EVSE ever fails. The NEMA 14-50 spec looks like this:
Warning: Depending on the size...
My question should have been more precise. I meant dealerships that do prep, PDI and service, and it seems they do have some requirements on the service people that do prep, PDI and service.
