Because you need to think and sense what button to press? There’s no tactile difference to differentiate them.
It’s nothing new, Ferrari implemented it differently by putting the left indicator button on the left side, the right indicator button on the right, you never need to think which...
Agree with the shifter, that’s not a bad idea. But the indicators are a bad idea for the same reasons the yoke is. Europe has roundabouts, try indicating while turning, for example. 😬
The Model S has been on my radar since 2011, but all these years they've somehow managed to put me off.
In 2011, it was unclear when the Model S would arrive.
When it arrived in 2013 it was very clear that this was a first generation product that needed more development.
As they continued to...
Google the part number and you'll see that these modules are readily available for around 1000 euro's, new. The part revision number .C suggests that newer modules do exist, but I'm just guessing here, maybe its best to have a module of the same production date to work with the rest of the pack?
I also understood that Tesla used the front motor for higher speeds (bigger gearing). A very simple solution to the problem, BUT, dynamically speaking, I can't help but think it has to be a nightmare? At lower speeds the rear motor would overcome the front, which is totally fine - dynamically...
An interesting paradox is when the range gets bigger, you don't need super fast charging.... or let me rephrase... you won't rely on the infrastructure as much. I think we are much further away from having such an infrastructure everywhere and for everyone available than we are from having a...
The biggest advancement Porsche could make (true to the brand) is making a lighter car. The car still feels humongously heavy in terms of handling feel compared to a sports car. It doesn't need 1000HP if it could shed 25% - 50% of its weight somehow.
I agree with @FredC057 , it's a nice backup to have since most charge points are AC 22kW (max). Depending of your usage, you may never use it though. Perhaps motivated by range anxiety (first time EV owner), it felt like I really needed the option... I already can say it's unlikely I will ever...
I lol'ed reading the OP title. :)
And I learned how to stop my car from creeping forward (I really didn't know), thanks!
It only happened once after a long drive in wet conditions.
I switched to a more spirited drive and immediately needed the brakes (came in hot)... they did absolutely...
Simple logic :)
The weight is keeping the PB+ down in an acceleration from zero. And the quarter mile is too short to make any measurable difference, just as the 0-60 range is too short.
But if you don't start from zero, the weight doesn't have the same impact and therefor the PB+ is quicker...
I think the gearing will make the difference, especially when you have a second motor and gear ratio to account for.
And I also think that a rollout isn't overdelivering but cheating. :)
Yeah, they are readily available here. That will affect resell values (same for the Audi E-Tron GT). I guess we need to thank our Porsche/Audi importer "D'ieteren", who -I assume- claimed a high amount of build slots. But no to be mistaken, I'm genuinely grateful, since I like instant...
Wow! I feel embarrassed to whine about an intermittent noise that is so subtle, a cellphone ain't able to record. This is on a whole different level. They obviously will acknowledge the problem immediately, that's the only upside. Good luck!
The good news for the Audi e-tron GT that is produced on the same VW PPE BEV platform as the Taycan and shares many parts with it, is that Audi opted for a different and better onboard charger. The described problem is not existent with the e-tron GT, the source told me, but it’s unclear why...
