I tried ALK for the first time this Saturday. It was SO annoying and NOT very helpful at all. The car just slowly ricocheted/ping-ponged off the left and right lanes with very abrupt steering corrections, and constantly reminded me to keep my hands on the wheel. I mean: WHAT’S THE POINT??? I...
From the moment it was introduced I was baffled as to why people would choose a gravel road car that is actually a sports car. It is a performance brand, machine and design. I also feel the plastic wheel arches etc look VERY cheap. They are unnecessary to the great majority of buyers too. I...
NO Thank you very much!
I have the standard GTS sound generator (a more “muscular” sound than the regular one) set to be active in ‘normal’ mode because when I start up, annoyingly the car always is in the default ‘normal’ mode, and I’m likely to be in a parking area with pedestrians, so I want...
I honestly don’t know what I would do with more power than what I have now with my ST GTS! I mean… where does this end? Many reviewers feel the turbo s is too much, even nauseating for drivers and passengers alike. I’m good with the levels I bought. YMMV for sure!
Many many times I get the thumbs up or better from fellow drivers. Many do not recognize the car, probably because it is a Sport Turismo and not a fastback body. I personally just love the look. The gesture of the car is pure sleek power and Grace. Just my style. (See the photo)
I do’t give a...
I thought so too, but my key fob is in an all-leather case, and hanging outside my handbag. It's baffling, really. I can toss it in the rear cargo area (Sport Truismo) and then get in and sit down and it works without touching the brake or wheel, or it fails when I sit and have the fob on my...
That's a good thought, but I don't think it's a factor here. We have strong cell reception and I've experienced inconsistent performance in the very same spot over time. Plus, I believe this function is all own-board, not LTE dependent, and the GPS should be an on-board sensor too. Is that right?
I had the very same experience. I went straight to the dealer who tried to help, but ultimately the Digital Guru of the shop said that it was probably an OTA update that takes a long time to finish integrating. It did indeed clear up after a couple of hours, but this could be avoided by better...
I’m hoping for a software patch that makes the auto-start feature in Comfort Access more reliable (it fails at least 30% of the time), and the overall stability of the operating system. I get frequent incidents where the speed limit sign is not displayed, my seat doesn’t adjust fully to my saved...
LOVE this trunk liner, Way nicer than Weathertech and cheaper.

The point was that when this happened my first best option and choice was to act to reduce any chance of damaging my battery by utilizing the infrastructure that I understood to be in place for such things. AAA, Porsche SOS, etc. . I posted the story to warn others of this gap in support for us...
Thanks for the notes. Some interesting stuff here, most I already know. My tragic tale is NOT MY ROUTINE. It was ONE exceptional experience and will not be repeated. I don’t “live on the edge”.
I have never run my phone battery to empty. Never run out of gas. Never missed a flight, lost my keys, or forgot to pay a bill. For some reason, people contributing to this thread seem to assume I’m some kind of dumb-ass. I can assure you, I am most certainly not.
I believe that is the reason I did not get the predicted range I saw when I started out. Including the fact that I was hyper-milking the whole way. I’d say I lost about six miles of range, or about 20% Due to rain and chilly temps.
Thanks for the reality. I appreciate your return to the intention of my OP. I knew there is a “limp-in” ability and that is indeed what got me home. I would have made it just fine if not for the weather factor, which was worse than predicted.
And to all you well-meaning respondents above (and...
Here is my tragic tale. If you don’t feel like you’re an early adopter, this saga may have you feel otherwise.
Tonight I was invited to join a friend to attend a discussion at University of California, Santa Barbara on artificial intelligence and Neurotechnology. It was fascinating. So now...
