For sale:(DEAL!) 20" wheels with Michelin Pilot sport 4 all-Season tires [NC, USA]

20" Avante Garde wheels with Michelin Pilot sport 4 all-Season tires [NC, USA] These are a perfect 20" fit for taycan and are of the right offset. I specifically made sure to pick a tire size that is the same rolling diameter as stock to ensure speedometer accuracy. The front tires are...

Using Car Scanner App to log, understand and diagnose Taycan

So glad an app now exist to read this data! I used to use a similar app with my tesla and having power and temperature/cooling information was very useful to get the most out of the car under high performance situations.

When are we expecting a Facelift? Porsche Taycan

While I would like to see updates made to the car I do think Taycan will remain unchanged longer than expected. Right now demand is very high and production is difficult, it would be easier to extend the life cycle to avoid having to make supply chain changes. Not to mention all the other...

    Aftermarket wheels for Taycan

Thought I would post again sharing the more correct tire size setup for the 8.5x20 and 10x20 AG M510 wheels on my Taycan. Currently running 235/45/R20 for the front and 275/40/R20 for the rear. Michelin PS all season. This size gives near identical rolling diameter to the factory 20s and...

Latest Taycan Software Update Findings and Reviews Thread

Has anyone been able to log into spotify? I get Err code 3011 unable to retrieve QR code. I also tried linking it from the Porsche app too but the car still provides the same error. Wireless Android Auto is working perfectly though!

Official Porsche Announcement: PCM Update Coming to All Model Years w/ Faster Charging, Infotainment Improvements and Range Bump

The instructions were 24 pages long and the car has been with them for better part of a day so I don't think any of the updates are going to be fast to be honest. Edit: My car will likely get finished up the next morning as since they could not get all of it done today. Sounds like there is a...

Official Porsche Announcement: PCM Update Coming to All Model Years w/ Faster Charging, Infotainment Improvements and Range Bump

My early production 2022 (pre colored icons) is now getting the update and showing the new software already. One thing mentioned was that phones will need to be re-paired even if they show as paired after the update is completed. Our technician suggested removing paired phones and having them...

Important advice when fitting new wheel sets

My wheels and TPMS came off of a 2015 Panamera Turbo. After mounting them the tire pressure started showing up after about a day of driving with no action on my part other than selecting a new wheel size in PCM. Thought this data point would be useful for those who are curious if something...

My Porsche App - Not updated in 4 days…

which PCM menu are you going to that seems to resolve this? Edit: Oddly enough I manually set the climate timer in the PCM since the app hasn't been connecting for about 24 hours and I got the notification that climate was started and now everything works as expected. This could be a...

Base Taycan is best - Road & Track review

This is exactly what I would have wanted if Porsche were to build one. A Taycan S RWD or something along those lines. I was dead set on RWD for handling and increased over-steer, but my base Taycan power feels artificially limited off the line. Whether that is for tire wear or to create a...

    Steering Wheel Leather Damage

I'm well aware but Race-Tex does a great job at preventing and hiding these noticeable scratches at surface level compared to just smooth leather.

    Steering Wheel Leather Damage

I have been noticing the beginnings of this wear on my steering wheel. Now I power off the car manually before exiting which triggers the easy entry position(which is still not quite enough for my height). Previously I would just put the car in park and hit lock. Next time I'll be getting...

    Kyle Drifts a 2WD Taycan

Avant Garde M510s in 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear. I was actually running a non standard taycan tire spec in this video so there is a little less sidewall than normal, new tires ordered will be similar to normal taycan height to get ride of the wheel gap. In the video that is 295/35 and...

Has anyone able to snag any allocation spot recently?

As someone on the Porsche side of this my advice to anyone is find a dealer you like or one that has good reviews that you would buy from and get in line! People searching for the magical allocations these days are the ones that will miss out. Porsche doesn't communicate much in the way of...

    Subtle "lunging" behavior at stoplight.

It is definitely the motor turning on and off to allow for the vehicle to creep forward when you start to let off the brake. They do this to save power when the brakes are held hard enough there is no reason to waste a few watts pushing forwards, better to wait for the brake pedal pressure to...

    Subtle "lunging" behavior at stoplight.

I have noticed when stopped if the car is not in HOLD mode I can feel the rear motor applying and stopping torque output based on how hard or lightly I am pressing the brake pedal. I can very easily feel it going on and off by altering the pressure on the brake pedal. Is that what you're...

    Aftermarket wheels for Taycan

With my RWD 79kWh car it is about 10 miles less predicted range than the factory 19 aero wheels with summer tires. 225 miles down to 214. Not too bad considering these are wider and spaced out to the wheel arch which doesn't help with aerodynamics.
