  1. Trailer hitch for Taycan RWD

I installed one myself. See: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/diy-bike-carrier-hitch-on-taycan.9888/ But note that it is not possible and illegal to tow something with it. It is only for bikes or storage boxes. Theoretically you can make a hitch that can tow a small trailer. But in...
  2. Price increases

The prices on the dutch Belgian website are still the same as last month.
  3. This is why the Taycan is the way to go

I personally like the look of my model X. Especially with the wing doors open , :-) This forum is too pessimistic about Tesla's build quality. It is partially right for the model 3. But in my experience the build quality and the look of the X and S is fine.
  4. This is why the Taycan is the way to go

I only partially disagree with these negative comments. I have model X and if you count the quality, innovation, software stability, speed and unique feature of this car, this car is very good value. And not better or worse than a Taycan (but with other strength and weaknesses) I found the...
  5. Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 ePerformance EV

Energica is making electric motorcycles with noisy gearboxes. They do it on purpose. But many potential customers see it as a disadvantage. The advantage of electronic fake sound is that you can turn it off on days that you just want to enjoy the silence of your EV.
  6. Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 ePerformance EV

It sounded cool in the first movie. But is indeed super annoying in the second movie.
  7. Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 ePerformance EV

I like the sound. Looked at the second movie. In that movie the sound is very annoying.
  8. Mercedes EQXX Concept

The consumption is really amazing. 8kwh/100km vs around 18 kwh/100km with a Taycan. How can the Taycan consume more than double ? What is it doing with that electricity ? Do Taycans secretly mine bitcoins ? That is probably why the PCM is sometimes slow. :)
  9. Porsche Bike Rack (step by step picture of the installation)

Thanks for the info, looks nice. But looks also quite a lot of work to install. Not very practical compared to a Thule 910 Express. In my family we use the bike rack a lot. We are adding/removing the bike rack 8 times per week. This would be very time consuming with a bike rack like that. I...
  10. Taycan Client Software Development

Does anybody know if there was any progress on this topic or is there anywhere more up to date information available ?
  11. Base Taycan is best - Road & Track review

In some other EV's they use the 4WD system to have efficiency at different speeds without a gearbox: Optimising the rear motor for low speed acceleration and the front motor for high speed efficiency. But this is not a valid argument for the Taycan because it has a gearbox.
  12. Anyone else has seen a Tesla charger offered by the Taycan’s Nav ?

I had a Tesla account for my Tesla but did not manage to use that account to charge the Taycan. I could not browse the non-Tesla chargers. I got an error message in the Tesla app. I made a second Tesla account (with another email address) for the Taycan. That worked. I filled a bug report to...
  13. Anyone else has seen a Tesla charger offered by the Taycan’s Nav ?

There are no clear markers of the parking spot. So maybe I wasn't parked exactly correct. Maybe a bit more to the left. And the rubber ridge was not very high. Mostly covered with gravel. Maybe that made the difference.
  14. Anyone else has seen a Tesla charger offered by the Taycan’s Nav ?

I tried the one in Heusden-Zolder. The chargers were in front of the car, not next to it. It was tight, but possible. Is that different than the one in Waver ?
  15. Anyone else has seen a Tesla charger offered by the Taycan’s Nav ?

Isn't it always possible ? I did it once. I assumed it was the same everywhere.
  16. A Taycan Owner Buys a Tesla: Informal Battle of Two (Very Different) EVs!

Heard from a friend that works at a road side assistance company that they have significantly more issues with EV's than with ICE cars. Not empty batteries but mostly system and software related problems. And.... apparently almost no Tesla's! Mostly various other EV brands. And very regularly...
  17. Anyone happy with the standard sound system?

The standard speakers are good enough for high and mid tones, but clearly lack bass. The audio quality in total is just incomplete. I know for sure, because I've added an under seat subwoofer and now the audio quality is fine. Not super good, but certainly good enough. Like many have said, this...
  18. Difference between the driving modes in Taycan (Range, Normal, Sport and Sport Plus)

Very interesting graph. This probably explains why my Taycan has less range reduction in winter time compared to my Tesla. It proves that it is very useful to use the charging timers when it is cold. Where did you find this graph ? Does anybody know if there is an updated version (preferably...
  19. New functionality wish list?

A lot of items on the list are pure software features. So in theory not super expensive to add and it would be possible to get them on the existing cars. If only Porsche would be a premium brand with high margins that would be able to afford doing this....
