Interesting. my ct4 has the 22kw charger and it failed earlier this year. the car was out of service for over 2 months waiting for the part. they did replace it finally.
I"m 100% sure in the US market. you would get financial compensation if this happens under warranty, at least the cost of...
Yes a huge "FINALY".
I just setup the Tesla app. When searching locally I only see the magic dock location in Carson CA, so hopefully on Tuesday I can see them all. I can't stand waiting in line at EA when I need a quick bump charge so usually will find a Chargepoint DC station, so this is...
I posted this in the other thread too:
But I called my dealer this AM and they confirmed the car has no open campaigns or recalls after the OTA update was performed (he confirmed it was done successfully OTA).
This is the first time since I've owned the car in nearly 4 years.... there have...
What was interesting for me is, installed the OTA update and near immediately the porsche site was updated... (this was yesterday afternoon)
I called my dealer a few minutes ago. And get this:
LITERALLY for the first time since I have owned the car since Jan 22, there are ZERO open campaigns...
I got the same letter my car is arb6. Basically says to bring to dealer to install the software.
If you call your dealer they can run the vin and confirm if you’re good or need to bring it in.
My car has been parked for a while awaiting a buy back from Porsche (for different issue) and i...
The buy back process varies from state to state. In CA the offer will be:
full retail price paid for the car + tax
minus any add ons like services
one year of registration fees
minus a use charge (they gauge useful life of car at 120k miles, so basically $1 per mile driven until first issue...
yeah my taycan is out and I moved to a cayman GTS 4L as a daily. I miss aspects of the taycan but the annoyances for me outweighed the benefits (and I have 4 other porsches in my garage so I'm a huge fanboy.... ) I did some track time on a 992 S and it didn't do it for me, the n/a cayman did...
this is pretty common if your car was sprayed with wax (ie a drive through car wash). You can use rubbing alcohol on a towel and clean the windscreen (CAREFULLY, keep it on the glass) on the windscreen and the rubber wipers.
OP: Your car had to have been tracked a fair bit as the TC/Stability systems work the rear brake hard... was it a Porsche Experience car? I'm 20k miles and rears are over 6mm still.
BTW this issue on cars sliding. I live in a hilly area and my neighbor has a very steep driveway (no snow...
That could be it... who knows.
I'm not keeping it that long to find out. It's been in my driveway collecting dust undriven since I got it back from the last break down. Maybe I should keep driving it and charging to 100% constantly to "find out".
The Pirelli were much more 'firm'. The ride quality of the Conti is fine, after about 10k miles still very quiet and a lot of tread left. If I was taking a corner hard enough to make them squeal you could feel the Pirelli have less squirm. IN daily use I notice no benefit to the high spec summer...
Knowing porsche, don't hold your breath. Maybe in a year or two, or more, when they finally figure out how to leverage the Rivian investment they made.
I have the Conti on mine and they are good. they are lasting a LOT longer than the Pirelli that came on the car. CONTINENTAL PROCONTACT RX (my car has the 21" on it). These are all seasons, which I normally wouldn't have but, the car drives and handles fine, and I was not thrilled about the 10k...
Just to add a data point: was quoted a 3rd party warranty additional 3 years and I forget the miles, full coverage including battery and drive elements was ~$4k.
This dealer offers the porsche protection, CPO (for cpo cars) and 3rd party. They prefer the 3rd party and even on CPO cars if it...
The warranties vary highly from country to country. In the US porsche offers an extended warranty "VSP" they call it (other than CPO warranty which is the closest to the original 4 year factory warranty). Most dealers also sell 3rd party warranties like Fidelity.
I talked to my dealer about...
Sure, hopefully you're funding an extended warranty for those 10 years. beyond 4 its battery only. Or roll the dice. I like to gamble, but I'm not gambling on Taycan.
So this is weird, and my dealer cannot explain it:
1. Originally my car had ARB7. And I received a letter as such.
2. A few months ago I checked online and the dealer confirmed my car had BOTH ARB6 and ARB7 attached to it
3. I had the car at the dealer for a charger replacement about 4 weeks...
