The plot thickens, this morning when starting the car, trying to bluetooth connect to my phone was giving me the same "service not available" error as I was getting with the data connection mentioned earlier on. I Did a reboot from the engineers menu for probably for the fifth time and oddly...
Sadly not, before reaching out to connect services I'd already enabled and disabled privacy mode, even gone as for as entering engineering mode and doing a full restart of the pcm. I've seen threads about the SIM module going bad? Could be a possibility 🤷🏻♂️
I've had connect services briefly drop out once or twice in the month I've had the car, inconvenient but not the end of the world. That said I've been unable to get a data connection in the car for over 48 hours this time round. I spoke with the service centre at about the 24 hour mark and was...
I'm due to be collecting my Taycan any time now and have just received the email regarding registering the car to my Porsche account, along with payment details for charging and Porsche connect services. I was looking for some feedback on the Porsche connect options. The security option is...
This is a little worrying, mines been there since the 4th. Was due to take delivery this weekend, still no sign of any movement, have you had any update from your SA as to what's causing the delay?
This is not good news, I'm in the final stages with my taycan. It would seem it's gotten one of the very last boats out of Emden but has been sat at the port in Grimsby with no explanation why since the 3rd of March. Is there anyone else in a similar situation with a car sat in the port on the...
Not that it helps much but quite surprised that your SA has said it's not possible and not just uneconomical. I would have thought it'd be a new wheel and a software update is all that was needed? Is it worth reaching out to another centre for a second opinion?
The perils of using the forum on a mobile!! Just to be clear if approaching the problem in this manner do indeed plug the heat gun in, turn it on and gently and slowly warm the area. Don't just take the heat gun out the garage and start beating on the front of the car, that most definitely won't...
Try to gently hit it with a heat gun? Will in no way repair it but that type of plastic will want to go back to its original shape and might be less noticeable. Worst case scenario you melt it, you were looking to replace it anyway. Nothing to loose really!
I felt exactly the same, subjectively the etron is a beautiful looking car, the interior is a nice place to be but no "nicer" than any mid range S-line with a few trimmings. Such a shame they didn't get a bit more creative with it.
I didn't even think about battery pre conditioning for charging . Not the end of the world but a shame, they missed a trick on that one! That said I would imagine getting the two systems to communicate properly would be no mean feat! Nevermind!
Coming from a Tesla I'm quite looking forward to having android auto in the car. One thing Tesla did really right was navigation and charge planning when routing. I know Porsche has something similar but was curious if there was any interaction between the built in nav and google maps when using...
I very much doubt Porsche would drop their prices. They can't build the cars fast enough at the moment so why would they? Tesla are going to struggle in the coming months/years. Over supply and years of treating customers with contempt seems to be catching up to them.
I got caught out only a...
I placed an order for a GTS ST on launch day Sept/Oct 21. I knew I'd be in for a wait when I put my deposit down so have just left the dealer to it, got my allocation 2 weeks ago and have my fingers crossed for a March delivery.
I think you're take is spot on. Tesla don't have the performance chops that Porsche do and are leaning more on efficiency a very easy way to do that is cut rolling resistance with the narrower contact patch.
That said I'm getting those figures running fairly soft pilot super sports on mine...
