UAE-based Taycan owner here and I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had this since I first got the car but I've been ignoring it, and it's only really noticable when the windows are down. This is my first EV so I don't really know what sounds normal and what doesn't, and after almost...
Hello Ahmad.
I have a Taycan with pano roof in Dubai. The car comes standard with thermally insulated glass here, and on top of that I've had 70% tint installed on the windows and 40% on the roof (since it's already slightly tinted), and with the precool/preheat function you can set timers so...
You can adjust the distance or turn it off in the settings. I personally think it's useless when all it does is show that tiny icon.
Collision warning is good though, I keep that on.
Haha, that's what I thought. That's why I ignored them the first two times they called. Then I messaged my SA and he told me to pick up if they called again.
Oh, so this is it. After around two weeks of delivery I received a phone call from Germany. They said they'll send me a gift with my name engraved on it and wanted my details. Two months later and I'm still waiting.
I agree that you won't get to enjoy the panoramic roof much as the driver, but this picture taken by my sister from the back seat makes it worth it.
It also looks good from the outside.
I didn't know it was an option in the configurator. My car came standard with an extinguisher (and a spare tire in the trunk 😕). Probably a regulation thing in the UAE.
I guess I'll add my experience for the sake of documentation.
This has happened to me at least 3 times in less than a month, and I'm starting to expect it every time I drive.
And just to clarify, this is NOT the usual warning in white text when ACC/LKA/ALK are active. It is a red warning...
I haven't had any encounters with strangers yet, but all my friends and family who have seen it are impressed, and it's usually the first time they hear about the "electric Porsche".
This is funny to me because in my country those come standard on every Taycan with no option in the configurator to remove them. I had my ppf installer remove them.
I'm not too sure about this. I ordered mine from the Sharjah branch (same dealership as Dubai) and it took about 6 months to get delivered. Ordered in November and arrived two weeks ago.
When I went to pick her up the salesman said I was fortunate to order it when I did as new orders are...
