Colored obviously looks better, but I didn't go for them either. It seemed like the option to far for wheels that are already massively expensive. It's the 80/20 principle. 80% of the result comes from the stance with the design & the size. And the colored finish is the 20% where you must decide...
@dennis: Some outdoor pictures from mine ;-) I had the same doubt and I'm genuinely happy I've ended up with Ice Grey. White can become quite stark and Ice grey feels a lot deeper, but without going to much into silver or grey.
Mine was also activated immediately after it left the factory. But did take 5 weeks to get it delivered (was also hoping for 2/3 weeks) ;-) No alarm issues so far.
Mine was in production between feb 18 and 25, and left the factory one of the first days of march. It arrived in Belgium 3 weeks later (around the 22nd) and was at the dealer another week later. I took delivery last week (April 7th).
I've been to 2 dealerships (Antwerpen and Mechelen) and neither of them mentioned the possibility of a Business Pack. The heated seats and the rear view camera alone are already 1200€, so to have the 4 options for a thousand, would've like that as well!
I like the config! Given your target...
Looks amazing, Steve! Already have a 4S in Ice grey on order, but your pictures really are reassuring I've made the right choice. Are those Mission E wheels painted or standard? Especially on Ice grey, it's difficult to tell on photo's :)
Did a 2nd testdrive with both RWD and 4S yesterday and will likely place an order for a low specced 4S. With a previous driving experience, It was easier to focus on the similarities and differences this time round:
* RWD feels noticeably lighter/nimbler. 4S makes you feel as if you can do...
The only way to know is to drive it and have a look at your wallet. After a back to back test drive, I had the feeling that I would try to make as much sacrifices in the options list as possible (exterior styling, interior options like sport chrono, seats, ...) to bring the price of the 4S more...
Had the opportunity to drive the RWD and 4S back to back today. In either trim, it's a fantastic car that drives and handles extremely well, feels premium and turns heads. However, the pace of the base model, even in sport mode, felt a bit disappointing, even without having driven the 4S. Maybe...
In the usual interiors, the drivers screen behind the steering wheel is standalone with the dashboard bending behind it, but on the new base model, there is an additional element overlaying it.
I wonder what the reasoning is behind the different interior layout for the base model and if it will be for all countries alike. Must say I prefer the original one...
Hi all,
since the configurator doesn't really do justice to the interior materials, I was wondering if any of you have some real life photo's of the Taycan interiors. I'm especially interested in how the basic version compares to the full leather option and the race tex.
