My suggestion is to get one with a base that stays in the car. You don't want to have to unbuckle/carry if you can just un-pop the whole seat and keep them there. Get an extra base for your other cars and a stroller that is compatible. This set up was a life saver. They all use the LATCH...
You say "Mobile" in your title, is this a charger to keep in the car? For that purpose, I bought a Tesla Mobile charger and a tesla-tap based on recommendations I read here. I bought a few different connectors with it (6-50, 14-30) to cover all bases while on the road.
It was SHOCKING how...
My wife had a Lexus that the HUD was not visible whatsoever with polarized sunglasses on, even on the highest brightness. We have an Audi that has a HUD that shows up perfectly with the same sunglasses on. The Taycan HUD is fairly visible, right in between the other two and is quite usable...
I am also having odd behavior the last few weeks. Originally, my phone would connect wirelessly to Android Auto as soon as I got in the car and powered it on. No it won't connect on it's own and only reliably connects via wired, which takes a minute or two to form the connection.
I haven't...
I think Automotive Elegance does it onsite for them. That's who we brought ours to, been using them for years...they do a really nice job. I'm sure yours will be perfect.
I tend to bring it to them onsite as I like to let them have as long as they need, and it gives me a chance to walk around...
I also picked up my car from Porsche Nashua (in September).
The dealership as a whole was great to interact with and the Taycan demo guy (bricking on his name) was fantastic when we did delivery walkthrough.
I declined to have them do the PPF and had it brought to a local dealer since I had...
I am 0 for 3 on plug and charge attempts on my 22. I have always had to initiate the charge via the MyPorsche App which has worked every time and resulted in a free charge each time, even though it gives me a price at the start.
I have the box ticked for plug and charge but no dice yet.
Late reply...but recently I have to log in every time I open the app.
I added a widget to my screen (Android) which clicking on gets me in without logging in (so far).
My car set in port processing for two weeks. It never actually moved into the transport phase, but just showed up at the dealer on a truck. The first I knew was when my sales guy called me to say it just arrived. It's a two hour or so drive from the port to the dealer, so ymmv.
Our dealer just sent these photos. Looks like it finally got out of port processing after 12 days. Trying to schedule pickup for Friday if the updates go smoothly.
Two week update. My car is still in port processing. Not sure what the delay is. My SA said it should be at the dealer by this weekend but it doesn't look promising.
My freeze date shifted three times as the production date slipped. The entrance to production is the key date they seem to back out the other dates from so the other dates move around.
Agree with this. You're right around the price we're paying for a nicely optioned 4S. The differences between our builds are mainly the wheels/brakes and the tech package.
I didn't see the utility of the passenger screen for that price and we decided we'd rather have the 4s performance over...
My car is still in Port Processing at Davisville. Our salesman said it tends to take 2-5 days in normal times for the car to get to the dealer from the port once it enters inspection, but we'll see how it goes.
My car started production on 6/20, finished 6/24. Finally got on a boat 8/16 and landed in Rhode Island a few days ago.
That gives an 8 week delay between finishing build and getting on a ship.
Lake Wanaka arrived in Davisville this early this morning. Hopefully my car is on the ship and is being unloaded right now! No idea if something will hold it up in port processing, but at least it's in the country. TYD hasn't updated yet.
Is anyone else on this ship?
My build was marked as completed 6/24. It supposedly arrived in Emden 6/28 but sat there until last week. The "Arrived Emden Port" date changed from 6/27 to 8/16, which was the same day it got on a vessel. So cars are being shipped, albeit slowly. I don't know if the battery held it up and I...
