You are correct, typically the transition from regen to mechanical under gingerly braking when coming to a complete stop is around those speeds--you shouldn't have to feel like you need to put more pressure on the brake pedal after the transition happens.
Thanks for the find. I stand corrected!
However, to generalize a spongy feel on that's just how it is, again, is lazy. An improperly bled system, especially pre PSM update, during normal braking all the way to a complete stop, can feel spongy.
This is incorrect. Regen and mechanical braking systems aren't completely decoupled, even within the threshold of regen only while depressing the brake pedal. Every time you step on the brake pedal, you're moving fluid within the master cylinder. How do you explain the force pushing back...
This.
To do a proper bleed there are three systems you need to do, two of which you need PIWIS. Traditional reservoir bleed you can obviously do yourself. My brake pedal never felt solid with barely any play until you also do the brake booster and ABS/PSM unit.
PCCBs use the same calipers regardless of trim. So, yes they will work!
And not crazy, you're getting utility of unsprung weight savings and clean wheels 24/7!
This is awesome! Essentially, we'd able to perform the coding/programming part of any TSB? Add PR codes or request enabling/activation codes as one would via PRMS?
I think I came across the same on Ebay. Did you do any of the LIN wiring? You're missing the welcome/leaving home animations which this light is capable of doing.
Indeed. +100. As pompous as that sounds...lol.
I was a bit confused. Thread title says Turbo, car says Turbo S, sticker says Turbo, profile says Turbo S, brakes say Turbo.
Nice looking car though.
Totally agree with your sentiments toward the GTS and its handling. However, I can see for some it might be too harsh for every day driving, and turning the knob over to Sport (sport chronology) is enough.
Like you, I too would not be able to go back to a non GTS. But Porsche sure does get to...
And I love that. 😜 IMO, PCCBs on a primarily regen braking car is the biggest flex, aside from propping up the spoiler when parked and having the "electric" decal on car with no gas sibling.
What @Flying ace said.
I've done mine. Pretty straightforward in the sense that the calipers need to come off. I replaced the caliper bolts and pad sensors.
Why it's not like your standard brake job? It's pretty nerve-wracking trying to be extra careful/slow as to not chip the CCB...
I can confirm. I had a few surface scratches around the trunk/rear fenders due to who knows what. After PPF, I can't see them anymore (without paint correction).
