When I bought my RWD Taycan in Los Angeles two years ago I was told by the Porsche outlet general manager that California law supersedes the Porsche battery warranty and provides a 10 year warranty. Apparently this is not the case, which is quite surprising and, frankly, disappointing. From...
I have PB+ '21 RWD ... my 85% level ranges from about 200 in winter to 220 in summer. I'd say that's close to what you're getting. 19" wheels. I can really improve my numbers by coasting down hills b.c. the Taycan rolls so efficiently.
This premium brand comes off as badly disorganized and uncoordinated.
Can you really charge $200,000+ for cars and have a cash flow problem? Sounds like it.
Thanks for filling in the blanks. Sorry this happened to you. That would be Plano, Texas. Have you thought of contacting Porsche North America. At least some dealers seem to be sensitive to headquarters receiving negative feedback.
Could you provide a little more detail. Have you contacted your dealer or gone into the Service Dept. personally to ask about this? If they won't answer your calls or talk with you in person, I'd call or email Porsche NA. Also, why was your car towed away ... the reason for it's failure to...
The Pilot G2 premium gel refills fit perfectly. In addition to black narrow, very narrow and regular they offer a nice Bold in black (and perhaps other colors).
After this update it seems to me that the heated steering wheel doesn't get "too warm", meaning it can remain on. Previously I had to turn it on/off frequently due to being too hot.
Most designers of the initial version of just about any type of iconic products are geniuses — hardware or software. Then comes V. 2 and the inevitable follow-on improvers, marketers, tinkerers and cost-cutters.
This is a good point and well-reasoned. I especially agree about the fact that the entire line is overpriced, as the widespread depreciation numbers show. However, the concept that land-based vehicles need to go faster and faster 0-60 seems fraught, potentially hazardous and is undoubtedly a...
If I'd paid $30,000-$90,000 more for blistering speed, I might be tempted to look askance at the Taycan RWD also. However, as a previous 996 owner, I can attest that by those standards the Taycan is comparable and acceleration smoother.
A tough lesson in supply and demand. When you couldn't get a new Taycan for love or money in early 2022 there seemed to be tons of demand. I was one of those demanding (and paying a bit of a premium of owning privileges). Also wonder about is whether Porsche has gotten faster at producing...
I posted somewhere else but for what it might be worth I purchased a PrimeCom unit:
https://www.primecom.tech/products/40-48-amp-ev-charger-220-volt-30-40-50-feet
My main reason is that it can easily be made to fit inside the Porsche charger enclosure using a zip ties and plexiglass.
Tried...
I have the Porsche Wall Charger Connect charging station mounted on the side of my house and so was looking for a replacement charger which would fit inside the box and, of course, plug into to the 240V outlet within. The only product I could find that looked viable and had a 40A rating was the...
Right!! I don't understand how Porsche could suggest using 120V charging through at least May and likely longer. It seems to me that they are risking replacing EV batteries themselves since there must have been a reason for this warning.
Agreed that research at Porsche engineering into American 240V componentry was sorely lacking but I have to wonder also if Leviton, etc. are not up to German design standards or expectations. I haven't seen much overheating at all (using 40A) and I attribute it to the installer knowing what's...
The Tesla Mobile charger is 5 feet shorter than the Porsche unit and max's out at 32A rather than 40A. I was thinking of putting this in my Porsche enclosure but length is a problem.
