Update from me. Surprisingly got call today saying my car is done and I get it back tomorrow. The new high voltage heater apparently has a new mechanism to stop it being overloaded and burning out. Seems like my escalations to GB and German leadership did the trick!
Have any U.K. people managed to get their heater fixed yet or even a rough lead time? Fired off some letters to Porsche today. Worked out in the 8 months I’ve had my Taycan it’s spent 35% of the time at the dealer due to this problem and being on my 3rd panoramic glass roof! Love the car but...
I voted Lemon. Had my 4S CT for 8 months and it has spent a total of 13 weeks at the dealer. I’m on my 3rd panoramic roof and currently been without car for 2 weeks with failed heater. No eta for the new part. Such a shame as I love the car but the quality problems are unacceptable
Yes I’ve been told the same. No date provided. I love the Cross Turismo but can’t live with these quality issues. I’ve had it 8 months and already lost 2 months due to being on my third glass roof. Another safety issue they’ve failed to recall for. Im considering asking dealer to swap the car...
Same has just happened to me. CT4S first cold weather today in U.K. and no heater. Struggled to defrost and then had to sit in freezing cold for 3 hour return journey. Luckily electric seats and steering wheel still worked. They have also told me to get it recovered. Had car for 7 months and so...
So far so good. Spoke to the dealership. The same fitter put both roofs on and said they were totally different. First one was very rigid, second one had far more flex. I think you may be right that they used same type of glass from saloon for CT and realised the dimensions and angles combined...
Mine are also visible from both sides - as they were on roof No. 1 when they tried to tell me it was my fault!! I might just go with no roof and have the first Taycan soft top
That’s terrible 😱. What the hell is going on? Still don’t know if it’s the glass or more worryingly the fundamental car structure. Do you mind me asking which dealer you use? Might be worth mine (Porsche Centre Solihull) and yours comparing notes and putting pressure on Porsche to get their act...
They have now said they have not found the underlying issue yet but have a team in Stuttgart working on it. Apparently in U.K. there have been 30 CT roofs go and I’m one of 3 who’s managed to go through two of them!!
I’m going to keep the car this time as not losing it for 6 weeks again. For...
MY NEW REPLACEMENT ROOF HAS CRACKED
had it back for 1 week and two cracks appeared in new roof. Gutted. They clearly didn’t have a root cause when they did the fix. At a loss about what to do and wishing I’d gone metal roof!! May ask for new car.
Mine has been done yesterday! But not got it back yet as they want to do some quality checks. They seem worried about the whole thing which makes me a bit nervous! They did have to source a special tool apparently. Hopefully get car back Monday after more than 6 weeks.
I’ve been told my roof should be in this week. But, they now have to source the tools to do the job!! I think there’s a few tools that were involved in building it in the first place!
Positive update for me. Porsche now accepted it’s a warranty issue. They reckon 2 more weeks for new roof which would mean 5 weeks in total since it happened. They still have the car and don’t recommend me driving it. This is now massively on Porsche’s radar so don’t take any BS from them if...
